We were able to stay conveniently without inconvenience such as environment, facilities and amenities. I walked around to eat near the hotel, but I couldn't use it because it was full of reservations. It must have been difficult in terms of time. After all, I drove to find a place to eat.

I originally booked this hotel for the convenience of going to Mount Aso, but I didn't realize that the volcano had been closed for some time. This hotel is located in a far outskirts, but the facilities are very good and the environment is beautiful. When we arrived, the owner was very enthusiastic and explained. We didn't understand Japanese, so he translated to us on the phone. The hot spring is in another room, and there were not many guests that night. Our family could enjoy one hot spring room, and everyone was very satisfied. The room is large, with one bed per person and complete facilities. The breakfast the next day was Western-style and very rich. The bakery owner who couldn't finish it packed it for us and took it away. No food was wasted. Very good service. There is also an astronomical telescope on the grassland. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy that night, so there was no chance to see the stars. No wonder the hotel has ”Galaxy” as its name. I think you can see the Milky Way in the sky when the weather is good. I hope to have the opportunity to come back next time. Fortunately, Mount Aso suddenly opened again after checking out, and we actually saw the volcano!

This hot spring hotel has been the highlight of my entire trip. The rooms and buildings are designed with a strong infusion of Japanese culture, immersing guests in an authentic ambience. Every corner of the hotel exudes warmth and significance, urging you to savor its beauty. The open-air hot springs are truly unforgettable, allowing you to relax while surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. During the night, the starry sky adds an indescribable charm to the experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The culinary experience at this hotel is also exceptional. They offer a selection of local dishes that are both delicate and delicious, providing a true taste of the region's flavours. My only regret is not booking three consecutive nights at this extraordinary hotel. It's truly an oasis of tranquillity and cultural immersion that should not be missed.”
Kuju Kogen Cottage

I used to use it every 1-2 months, but this time I visited again for the first time in more than 10 years. There are improvements such as washing toilets and wifi, but there is no way to hide the aging deterioration of a quarter-century building. In particular, the firmness of the bedding and restaurant chairs is not friendly to the elderly. I used to have a good impression of the open-air bath, but it was disappointing that there were quite a few visitors from the attached campsite, and it was noisy with children swimming and diving. Dinner was a kaiseki meal, but since almost all the dishes were served at once, some were cold, so it was a rush.

I like the hideaway atmosphere of the standard Western-style room, but this time I made a last-minute reservation, so there were no rooms with a good view available, so I booked a Deluxe Western-style room for the first time. As far as I could find this room, there was no introduction image, so I was excited until the day to see what it would be like. When I was guided, it was the farthest corner room from the front desk, and the hotel said it was the room with the best view. It was certainly a wonderful view that overlooked the grassland far away. The area is slightly larger than the standard room, but there are no steps and the ceiling is high overall, so there is a sense of openness. The window was also a large sweep window, and there was a cute small window unique to the corner room. There is a large public bath, so I didn't use it, but the bathtub in the room is much larger than the standard one, and it might be good for children to play in the pool. This time as well, I enjoyed coffee while listening to the chirping of wild birds, ate delicious bread, and enjoyed the starry sky.

I stayed on a solo trip. It is a hot spring inn with a restaurant. The hot spring has an indoor bath in the bathroom and an open-air bath with three bathtubs outside. There was also a private bath in the building. The indoor bath was a brown muddy hot water with a temperature of about 40 degrees, and I took a bath at night and in the morning, but it was a hot spring with a comfortable temperature. The open-air bath was a precipitate and had a nice brown color, and in the morning, the white hot spring ingredients floated on the surface of the hot spring and became a thin oil film. The temperature was 25 degrees low and I was soaked a little and warmed up in the indoor bath. The quality of the spring is Mg N a-hydrocarbon hot spring. The room was clean and relaxing. Supper was also a cheap plan, but it was delicious with a reasonable amount.
