Awesome place and location. There are a lot of good food nearby and the place is central and easy to get around with tram and bus.

I was fined for droping my luggages at the reception it took me only 5 minutes parking in front of the hotel to drop 4 luggages at hotel reception. It make a very bad first impression for the hotel. The fine was $150. Room was very big and clean. I was very impressive.

The location is great, very convenient as it's close to the train station. There's a security gate, and since I didn't have a phone to contact them for check-in, I had to wait for someone to come in or out to enter. It has a full kitchen, which is handy for cooking. Unfortunately, some facilities were damaged, causing a bit of inconvenience, but overall it was still pretty good.

I recently stayed here and loved the fantastic location near attractions and restaurants. However, a major downside was the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms, which made it uncomfortable at night. If you can manage without AC in the sleeping areas, it’s a solid choice.

The booking website mentioned a laundry facility, but when we checked in, we were told it wasn't available for our room type. However, the host kindly provided directions to the self-service laundry facility. This is something to keep in mind when booking a room, so be sure to keep it in mind! Otherwise, the room, kitchen, living room, and bathroom were all above standard, ensuring a safe, clean place to sleep after a busy trip. Also, if you're planning on visiting penguins, this is the perfect place to stay, as it's very close to the penguin enclosure!

Clean apartment in a very convenient location with good views. Apartment comes with washer and dryer so able to do laundry, also comes with sufficient amenities for a smooth stay. Location very convenient as mentioned, there is a tram station just at the entrance of the apartment. Facilities like gym and pool available but we did not visit these facilities. Parking available upon request but requires payment, but at acceptable rates.  Overall good stay and would choose to stay here again if I were to come back to Melbourne again for a trip! Note: only one air condition for the whole apartment, might be tad hot during summer.

The windows weren’t clean, which affected the overall impression of the apartment. The bed was relatively narrow for two people, making it a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, during our three-day stay, the apartment wasn’t cleaned even once, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the location was convenient, and the apartment had a washing machine, which was very useful for doing laundry. Overall, while there were some practical advantages, the lack of cleanliness and comfort left room for improvement.

DDaphh02The Highlights 1. The location of this hotel is second to none. Right outside the door, you’ll find endless food options from quick bites to diverse international cuisines, plus plenty of cafés, bars, and public transport. Having the SkyBus stop to the airport just around the corner was convenient. 2. Every team member I met was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. They are well-trained and motivated to provide excellent service. 3. The room itself was spacious and modern. Both the daytime city views and night lights from the window were wonderful, and the furnishings felt new and well-maintained. 4. Guests have access to some excellent facilities, including a gym, a library, and a full wellness area. The indoor pool is comfortably heated even on a chilly Melbourne evening, and it comes with a sauna and bubble spa, which makes the stay feel more like a resort. What Could Be Improved 1. The room setup felt unusual. I booked a one-bedroom suite, but was placed in a two-bedroom apartment with the master bedroom locked off. I completely understand that I only paid for one room, but it felt a little strange knowing there was a part of “my” room I couldn’t access. Personally, I would have preferred a proper one-bedroom layout with full access. 2. The bedroom I was 'allowed' to stay in also didn’t have its own air conditioning. It relied on the living room’s unit to keep cool, while the locked-off master had its system. This design made things a bit uncomfortable at times, especially overnight. 3. The sofa had an unpleasant, urine-like odour, which made us reluctant to rest in the lounge. 4. The main door lock was rusty and stiff, making it frustrating to open and close. 5. There was no landline phone in the room to contact reception, so the only option was to head downstairs. A couple of times, even during office hours, the reception was unattended (likely because one staff member was juggling multiple tasks). It could be so inconvenient to have a more extended stay. 6. While the pool facilities were lovely, they were often crowded. The common facilities are shared with residents of the building as well as hotel guests, but this detracted from the relaxing vibe. Would I stay here again? Yes, probably. Mainly because of the unbeatable location, the great facilities, and the friendly staff. But I do think the hotel needs to address the details so that it can align with what they claimed as 'luxury'.

BBec143I’ve stayed at numerous at the Punt Hill apartments over the past decade, though it had been a while since I last stayed in one. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, however the hotel is quite run down now. Walls in the bathroom weren’t very clean, neither were mugs and cutlery (I always make a habit of cleaning things before I use them!). I ended up staying mostly in the hotel as I was sick with the flu so I noticed the wifi was very glitchy and intermittent too so it made streaming shows quite difficult to watch that I ended up just using my phone. The beds were comfortable though! The location is actually fantastic too, right in the heart of China town and easily walkable to places.

GGuest UserVery easy check in. Instructions by reception were spot on.  The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.  The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.  I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.

GGuest UserNot recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy. Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections. Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment. None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests. FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building. The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful. In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross. I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind. The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.

GGabrielOverall clean and up to standard. Particularly convenient was the check-in and check out procedure, as the key was just left on the dining table. Parking was also convenient, as our car was at our doorstep. The room also had a kettle and a large fridge, while the smart TV also had Netflix and YouTube, with high quality sound. Overall a pleasant stay!

YYANGJUANThe location is very good, it is very convenient to go out for dinner and shopping. You can see the seaside at a glance. The front desk helps to book a taxi for tomorrow. Very enthusiastic. The bad thing is that there is no 24-hour service. For example, at this moment, the room has noise from the refrigerator. I don't know how to solve it. It is very troublesome~ Figure 2 and Figure 3 are a nearby Japanese restaurant~

GGuest UserWhen we booked this hotel, we are not very clear that this apartment does not have any services. Before we moved in, we asked whether towels, toothbrushes, shampoos those things are equipped. We were told that those are ok. When we moved in, we found that they don't provide toothbrushes and toothpaste which we have to do it by our own. Moreover, they don't provide any services. Ok, fine. After we knew that they only clean up once per week, despite we are staying here more than a week, we can clean ourselves but they also don't provide enough towels for us to use during the stay. When we asked them for new towels, they gave us a very unwilling-to-help reputation/facial expression. Ok, if you expect us to clean it by our own, then you need to give me enough cleaning Powder, right? Again, we have to ask them case by case. We have been staying in these types of hotel before and wasn't that bad. It is very clear. If you expect not to provide any cleaning services, then equip us with enough cleaning powder or enough towels so that we don't need to ask you. What's even worst, we also need to ask for toilet paper, shampoo (cause they were used up in between our stay). Moreover, we also asked whether they provide car park. From trip.com, they told us they don't have car park. When we arrived, they said the car park is just fully booked and then we can move in the car park when it is available. Again, if those messages were delivered earlier than we arrive, the expectation can be more aligned and won't be like that. I think the experiences were not very good. In short, we have problems of having towels, toilet paper, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Finally, although we received cleaning powder from the hotel, the attitude of what the hotel handling it was very unpleasant.

GGuest UserA place for rejuvenate and value for money. Location: we did not rent a car, but can go there from CBD by train (30 mins) and bus (10 mins). If you catch the 496 bus from Laventon, it takes a 8 mins walk to the hotel off the bus stop, If you take 497 from Williamslanding, it takes 18 minutes, but you can shop at the centre (Coles, Aldi, K-Mart and Chinese supermarket), eat at different restaurants, and have manicure or massage. Facilities: the unit is well equipped with cooking utensils, we cooked our breakfast. There is no buffet breakfast but a la carte menu at the country club. The country club has gym and swimming pool too. Nearby attraction: we went to Werribee zoom, Weribee Park, Werribee Mansion, Joseph's resturant. The zoo has a safari bus which is a great attraction. Staff: the staff is helpful. We requested a lake view room one day before. They helped us by calling the cleaner as our check in day is a public holiday. Much appreciated.

AAnonymous UserLocation: Just a few hundred meters from Southern Cross, with convenient stores, restaurants, and tram stops nearby. Transportation is very accessible. Room: Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Service: Below even the most basic guesthouses. Some of their policies are unbelievable for a hotel apartment in 2026. They seem dedicated to turning essential services into paid items. Unless you have no other choice, I don't recommend it. 1. The front desk isn't 24-hour. Don't book here if you arrive after 8 PM local time, as there's an extra service charge. 2. If you forget your key and need someone to let you into the apartment, there's an extra service charge. 3. If everything goes smoothly during check-in, you're a customer. If there's a problem, they act like they're royalty. A normal response would be to help solve the issue, but they seemed annoyed that it was delaying their shift, and their attitude was terrible. Amenities: Kitchenware, refrigerator, washing machine – everything you need. Just remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers.

GGuest UserIf you’re looking for a stylish, central place to stay in Melbourne, Quay West Suites delivers in all the important areas. 📍 Prime Location Quay West’s address on Flinders Lane puts you right in the heart of everything. A few steps takes you to the iconic Yarra River, Federation Square, and Melbourne’s best shopping and café districts. Whether you’re in town for business, arts, or dining, having public transport, laneways, and nightlife within easy walking distance is a huge convenience. ✨ Impeccable Cleanliness From the moment you enter the foyer, the high standard of cleanliness across public areas and suites is clear. Plush carpets, sparkling bathrooms, and neatly made beds—everything felt fresh and immaculate throughout my stay. Housekeeping did a flawless job refreshing the room each day without ever interrupting my schedule. 👨💼 Friendly, Attentive Service Customer service here is both professional and warm. Front desk staff greeted me by name and were quick to offer directions, recommend hidden-gem eateries, and help with luggage. Room service was punctual, meals were presented beautifully, and every staff interaction made me feel genuinely welcome—not just another guest. 🧭 Thoughtful Facilities It’s the little things at Quay West that stand out: • A well-equipped kitchenette in each suite––perfect for a relaxing breakfast or a quick late-night snack. • In-room laundry facilities saved me from hunting down laundromats mid-trip. • The comfortable lounge and communal spaces offer a quiet place to work or unwind. • Gym and heated indoor pool, both kept spotless and perfect for a post-city exploration cooldown.
