Location - In the ”Little Italy” neighborhood, so many pizzerias and gelato spots are nearby. There's also a 7/11 across the street. The hotel is right on the outskirts of the CBD (so not too far), and there's a bus stop across the street that goes to the CBD. The location is good.
Room - Spacious, clean, and the wifi speed was good. The balcony in my room faced another building, but that wasn't a big issue for me- I don't use balconies that much. Lastly, I had my room cleaned each day.
Good value hotel.

The location is super convenient! A supermarket is just a few steps away, and both Melbourne University and the central business district are within walking distance. The Queen Victoria Market, which is great for browsing, is also nearby, so you can easily pick up fresh ingredients to cook back at the hotel. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a fantastic choice for families.

The location is great, with many restaurants nearby, including a very popular ice cream shop and an Italian restaurant. The room's bathroom is spacious, and there's a kitchen where you can cook, complete with pots, pans, dishes, sponges, detergent, and cutlery – everything you need. However, the hygiene was poor; we saw a large cockroach. The facilities are quite old, and the window in the room was drafty. The mattress was too soft and thick, which I personally found very uncomfortable to sleep on.
NOTE FOR EVERYONE : $150 DEPOSIT
This property should update deposit policy on booking app. When I booked it, I called the hotel regarding deposit and they said it depends on the room I've booked, and the deposit will be between $1-100.
When I came in, I need to pay $150 for deposit which is wrong information from them before. It's better to state it clearly on booking app so everyone can prepare for it.
Deposit payment return to my account in 7 days.
There is no issue with other things when I stayed in this hotel. My family really loved it. The tram stop just in front of the hotel and only takes 10 minutes to CBD.
We stayed in Family 2 bedroom that has city view on 10th floors. Facilities are great, it has washing and dryer machines which is really helpful for someone that has baby or kids.
For budget hotel, I would say this is the best experience and value that I've ever stayed in Melbourne. I paid $177 for 2 bedroom on the weekend stayed.
Definitely will be back someday.

PIck up and delivery from and to the airport was very easy. I called and they came right away.
The room was spotless and very comfortable. They had a food cart for breakfast and dinner and both meals were excellent.
I highly share this hotel.

Getting here by light rail is very convenient, but the metro station is a bit of a walk, about 15 minutes away. Parking downstairs is also difficult, which can be inconvenient if you've booked a pick-up/drop-off service.
The room is fully equipped with an open-plan kitchen and a washing machine, plus a small balcony with a view.
My only complaint is that the toiletries were a bit lacking. They only provided a few bars of soap and shampoo. I was really expecting body wash...
Since it's an apartment-style accommodation, there's no room service. You also have to take out your own trash bags to the building's rubbish chute. I felt the everyday essentials were a little too basic.
The front desk staff's tone was a bit cold, almost indifferent. Perhaps that's just a Melbourne characteristic, but I still find it a bit off-putting.

Very convenient location as it just 10mins walk to Melbourne central. The rmit university and swanston tram station right in front of the hotel building. Don’t have enough time to enjoy pool and sauna as it opens from 7am-9pm only. The only dissatisfied is I don’t know that the room service is provided. On the 4th night of our stay while we entered the room after one day trip, we realized that the cleaner has actually entered and cleaned our room without asking our permission. Imagine what if our goods have went missing, can the hotel management beared the cost of our loss? Please do not enter the room without inform customer, customer will ask for room cleaning if they really want the service.

When staying at High Life in Southbank | 2BR/2BA + Rooftop Spa, you'll be perfectly positioned to explore all that Southbank has to offer.
Go for a swim in the property's pool. You can also check out the pool with view. During your stay, treat yourself with a visit to the on-site spa or sauna. The gym provides a place for guests to work out.
At this apartment, you'll also find facilities including a garden. For extra convenience free laundry service (on-site) are available at the property as well.
Parking is available at the property.
Located in East Melbourne, the hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the light rail into the city, which is quite convenient. The owner was exceptionally kind; knowing how difficult it is to find parking in the city, they graciously allowed us to keep our car parked at the hotel until 3 PM.
It's worth noting that, contrary to what some online reviewers might claim, parking isn't entirely free here. While it might be free on weekends or under specific circumstances, it's generally not. However, at a maximum of 10 AUD per day, it's a steal compared to the 16-20 AUD *per hour* you'd pay in the city. So, it's practically free in comparison!
The room itself was a bit dated, but it was perfectly acceptable. Honestly, finding a hotel with affordable parking these days is quite rare.
Great location and views. Nice apartment with everything you need for an easy and enjoyable stay. Step out the door to the tram and a few stops into the CBD made for easy commuting. Close to supermarket and well equipped kitchen for easy cooking - or close to restaurants or tram if want to eat out. Construction noise at moment with new high rise being build next door but was quiet in the morning and evening and perfectly fine during the day if you had the door to balcony closed. We enjoyed the heated pool that was perfect temperature to enjoy and very clean. We would def stay here again.

TTina FeThe hotel carpet smells, the building is old and needs a total replacement of carpet. When we entered our room. It smells like bleach everywhere. We have to open the window to make it go away. The room is decent size and the toilet and bath are separated where there are no hand basin to use after using the toilet if someone is using the shower or bath tub. The view from our balcony is magnificent, the Melbourne tall buildings skyline. I also love the location because it is near public transport, free tram and shops, even universities. The kitchen are complete with cooking utensils and pans. They got free coffee, tea and milk. The toiletries were given 1 set of tiny bottles but we are 4 people booked in.

GGuest UserWe chose this hotel again and it was fantastic! The transportation is convenient, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Everyone, including the elderly and children, was very satisfied with our stay. We'll definitely choose this place again next time.
BBec143I’ve stayed at numerous at the Punt Hill apartments over the past decade, though it had been a while since I last stayed in one.
Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, however the hotel is quite run down now.
Walls in the bathroom weren’t very clean, neither were mugs and cutlery (I always make a habit of cleaning things before I use them!).
I ended up staying mostly in the hotel as I was sick with the flu so I noticed the wifi was very glitchy and intermittent too so it made streaming shows quite difficult to watch that I ended up just using my phone.
The beds were comfortable though!
The location is actually fantastic too, right in the heart of China town and easily walkable to places.

GGuest UserIt would have been good except for the large western facing windows left without blinds down and an electrical setup that turns the air conditioning off when no one is in the room. So we arrived to stifling heat, and an air conditioner that doesn't really cool the bedrooms, and no fans or windows in the main bedroom. Most other things were good, but having a comfortable room is fundamental and the apartment just isn't set up for that. We enjoyed the location and the pool. We can't really speak to service levels cos we didn't ask for, expect or get any. It was a bit frustrating that the hotel only had a booking for 4 adults when we made a booking for 2A+3C on trip.com but who knows who was responsible for that.
GGuest UserNot recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy.
Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections.
Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment.
None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests.
FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building.
The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful.
In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross.
I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind.
The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.
GGabrielOverall clean and up to standard. Particularly convenient was the check-in and check out procedure, as the key was just left on the dining table. Parking was also convenient, as our car was at our doorstep.
The room also had a kettle and a large fridge, while the smart TV also had Netflix and YouTube, with high quality sound.
Overall a pleasant stay!
YYANGJUANThe location is very good, it is very convenient to go out for dinner and shopping. You can see the seaside at a glance. The front desk helps to book a taxi for tomorrow. Very enthusiastic. The bad thing is that there is no 24-hour service. For example, at this moment, the room has noise from the refrigerator. I don't know how to solve it. It is very troublesome~ Figure 2 and Figure 3 are a nearby Japanese restaurant~
FFoshanliaoshenFacilities: The serviced apartment is fully equipped with home appliances, which is great!
Hygiene: Clean and hygienic, thumbs up!
Environment: There's a supermarket right downstairs next door. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the light rail, and you can reach the Crown Casino hotel within fifteen minutes on foot.

GGuest UserA place for rejuvenate and value for money.
Location: we did not rent a car, but can go there from CBD by train (30 mins) and bus (10 mins). If you catch the 496 bus from Laventon, it takes a 8 mins walk to the hotel off the bus stop, If you take 497 from Williamslanding, it takes 18 minutes, but you can shop at the centre (Coles, Aldi, K-Mart and Chinese supermarket), eat at different restaurants, and have manicure or massage.
Facilities: the unit is well equipped with cooking utensils, we cooked our breakfast. There is no buffet breakfast but a la carte menu at the country club. The country club has gym and swimming pool too.
Nearby attraction: we went to Werribee zoom, Weribee Park, Werribee Mansion, Joseph's resturant. The zoo has a safari bus which is a great attraction.
Staff: the staff is helpful. We requested a lake view room one day before. They helped us by calling the cleaner as our check in day is a public holiday. Much appreciated.
