Citidines Midtown is a reasonable budget hotel. There's a basic but functional service, I believe they do breakfast but I didn't eat there, theres a bunch of restaurants outside McDs next door and a couple of coffee shops. The hotel is part of a mall. My room was on the 25th floor, had a kitchen, TV, Bose sound system. All good, but the shower pressure was very weak and the whole place is dated and a bit worn out. For Business travelers on a budget, its fine and the location is good. If you like Chinese street food, there's a selection of vendors outside. The pool is swamped with kids during the holidays so don't bother with that. 6-7/10

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oakwood in Suzhou, located right by the picturesque Dushu Lake. The location is fantastic - the lake makes for a beautiful and peaceful setting. The hotel itself is quite good. I found it to be nice and quiet, which allowed me to relax and get a restful night's sleep. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. Service and amenities are solid. The staff are friendly and accommodating. While perhaps not the absolute height of luxury, the Oakwood provides everything you need for a pleasant stay. Overall, I rate this hotel an 8 out of 10. It's a very good choice if you're looking for a nice place to stay in the Dushu Lake area of Suzhou. The tranquil location and quality of the hotel make it easy for me to recommend the Oakwood.

When I came to Nanjing, I stayed at Wanhuicheng Hotel. The hotel is in a good location, right at the subway entrance. The overall environment is very good, clean and tidy, with smart facilities and equipment, and free parking. Dining is convenient, there is also tea, and the breakfast is also rich. Mendy at the front desk is warm and hospitable, and a drink was given when I checked out. I will come again next time if I have the chance.

I had a very good experience during my stay . Excellent location, right next to Sanyang metro station, spotless room and spectacular views right from the room. The room is a full service apartment with all facilities. The washing machine is very useful. Staff are very professional and friendly. Special thanks to Karen, Amber,Mr Zhu and Grace for their excellent service. Will definitely stay again

If you’re looking for a perfect 4 star venue in the city centre then look no further! This place is a good bargain all round the year and even in peak seasons. I am going to split my review into sections so bare with me. 1) Rooms: The outdated the rooms need a serious paint jobs and the couch is quite “scratchy” material wise. Despite the interior eye sore, the flats are quite cosy with everything you need. Scenery wise , those who aren’t afraid of heights request the balcony rooms ! Maybe they don’t have the views of the shanghai centre shopping mall but the evening breeze did put me to sleep like a baby! Also the television was well packed with nostalgic movies , I really enjoyed the entertainment. Although the TV volume doesn’t go too loud , I guess it’s good respect to the neighbors some of who are long term tenants. 2) Service: Impeccable. The people here, although clearly overworked are so nice! The housekeepers are all so wonderful ! They were the ones who let me come back to a clean flat everyday , really it was a piece of home with a whole lot of help! For shampoos and conditioners and shower gel you would need to let the front desk know you need it, so please keep that in mind! 3) Breakfast: Just enough for survival , I’m quite particular about my tastes in food where the buffet options were too less and unfortunately not too tasty. But I was able to survive…I really hope they can fix this though cause the place although cheaper than others isn’t exactly cheap as well. If you want a good breakfast spread , you will be left heavily disappointed. There’s a lot of cost cutting the hotel group has done and it’s obvious…I hope Ascott takes this into consideration cause it’s not good to have better hotels around the world but keep smaller cities forgotten and tightly budgeted!! Suzhou is quite expensive than other cities due to the constant influx of tourists. I don’t usually write much for my reviews but In this case I seem to care after seeing the overworked hotel staff and the poor conditions around them. Come on Ascott do better. I initially was tempted to give a 3/5 review stars but it’s the people that pushed it up.

The room is comfortable and clean, and the quality of room service is also guaranteed. Meanwhile, this hotel is located in a busy area, which allows us to enjoy the excellent night view and provide convenience for us to travel. Combined with the relatively modest price during the days of my stay, this hotel is excellent value for money. Recommended to all visitors to Wuxi.

I was pleasantly surprised! I wanted an affordable hotel with a laundry machine. I got much more! The one bedroom was HUGE--living room, kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom were all sleek, modern and larger than expected. The lighting throughout the unit was very modern. (I hate those hotel rooms with one bright light in the middle of ceiling.) By contrast, Modena's lighting was warm and intimate. The front desk receptionists Ms. Fighting FAN and Ms. Lee LI were super accommodating. (I'm missing the name of their wonderful colleague who checked me in on September 28. (Please thank her!) I will definitely go back. I highly recommend Modena to all Nanjing travelers!

The reception manager Ms. Connie was super service oriented. She arranged the extra bed for my child and got us a nice quiet room. When I asked for other assistance, she went the extra mile to fix it. Her colleague on the same shift was very helpful too ( did not get her name though). Big thank you to Connie and her colleagues. Now I can see why there are so many long staying guests in this hotel despite its age, the hotel staffs provide the edge over other service apartments in Suzhou New District.

The hotel is in a quiet area and still closer to the railway station. there is proper kitchen items with cutlery, washing machine, refrigerator and Oven. It good customer service and staff attitude is nice. it has many shops around it including small restaurants departmental store and grocery shops. certainly a high end experience. The manager even gave me a Souvinir from Wuxi.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom serviced apartment and were pleasantly surprised by the facilities in the room, especially the appliances. The beds were comfortable and it was a great space. The buffet breakfast was well-presented and tasted pleasing however I would have like latte as an option and it would be good to have children’s crockery and cutlery as this was missing as well as regular spoons which made eating cereal and yoghurt a little inconvenient. These small additions would definitely improve the experience. The children’s play area was great for our 3 year old to have fun for an hour or so too, as well as the swimming pool. We did have to pay to park our car but it wasn’t expensive. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The room was great, especially since we have young children. The only minor complaint we had was that it was frustrating to use the swimming pool, regular and kids pool, because they had too many kids there for swimming lessons all different times throughout the day 🥴

I loved this hotel. There is parking nearby but they’re very strict about not allowing cars to pull up to the entrance - even for pick up and drop off. This meant that we got soaked in the rain. But the room was lovely. I took a basic room but still got a good view. I visited my friends family room as well and can say the same for it.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the heart of everything we wanted to see. However, the room's furnishings were quite outdated and could use a refresh. Unfortunately, the breakfast was poorly cooked, with the red bean porridge being notably undercooked.

Second time I have stayed here for work and it is fabulous! Value for money, close to stadium and nice paths to Jinji Lake for running. Incredible value for money with big rooms, laundry machine and liquid and so easy to set up for a week of work nearby. I will continue to use this accommodation :)

The hotel has convenient and free parking, and there are two underground garages, which is really good. The room is also very clean. It is located in the city, so it is very convenient for eating and shopping. Give it a thumbs up. I will stay here again next time I come to Taicang

It's great. The surrounding facilities are complete. There is a supermarket downstairs. It is 400 meters away from the subway entrance and 600 meters away from the high-speed rail station. It is very convenient. The room is cleaned every day.

I had a wonderful weekend stay at the hotel with my family. The staff, especially the gentleman who assisted us, was friendly and proficient in English. The hotel's prime location offers stunning views, and our room was clean. A crib was also added in the room for my daughter. However, the apartment we booked for four adults lacked sufficient cutlery and mugs. It would be beneficial to include more basics like plates, especially for families with children. Additionally, having a QR code for ordering from the cafe and viewing spa prices would enhance the experience, reducing the need for constant contact with reception. The breakfast the next morning was delightful, and overall, I'd gladly return for another visit.

Once you are at the map location, find the purple bank, keep facing the direction you came out of the metro station and walk until you see a hotel/apartment lobby Enter the lobby and go up to the 33rd floor, then follow the arrows to the front desk Amenities and service are good, there was a washing machine and detergent in my room
