Residence Hotel Takayama Station

Extremely well located if you want to be right next to the train station and bus station - my room overlooked the tracks. Provision of washing machine and dryer is a superb bonus inroom as are the full cooking facilities. The hotel intelligently provides basics such as oil, salt, coffee, tea and even a couple of detergent sachets for the washing. Strangelt though, no knives or other cutting implements of any kind. A tip if you intent to cook. The Family Mart opposite is basic, but there is a huge supermarket under the tracks and just beyond MacDonalds where you can get international food as well as Japanese. Slightly dreary corridors and a reception crowded with people waiting for their room to become available. But on the plus side they let me into my room early as I was unwell at the time.

Although we were a group of nine people, the place was so spacious that it didn't feel cramped at all. We were also very satisfied with the location, cleanliness, and facilities, as well as the access to the station and convenience stores. Highly recommended!

This inn is located in a very convenient location near the station, downtown area and morning market in Takayama city. I stayed without meals and enjoyed local cuisine at night, and I used this inn in the morning to eat and drink in various ways. The location was perfect, the local restaurant was very close to 1 minutes on foot, and I was able to take a walk in the downtown area after dinner. For breakfast, I went to the morning market and enjoyed the color 々. The inn seems to have been a renovation of a wooden house, but it was very clean, and the room between 2 was able to relax enough for adults 4 people. There was a note that the sound was easy to leak, so it was quiet, but in fact, I only worried about the sound of opening and closing the doors and the sound of the stairs when entering and exiting other rooms. There was also a separate bath and toilet, TV and WIFI complete, and I was satisfied enough as an inn. Furthermore, the staff were very friendly and I forgot something here, but I was able to respond to the inquiries immediately and the exchange of photos through ”Agoda” did not work well. We were kindly responded many times and kindly responded to shipping by arrival after confirming the photo. I think it's a really good staff. If I have the opportunity to go to Takayama again, I would definitely like to reuse it.

We are traveling as a family. The location of Hotel No. 2 is very good. It is not far from Takayama Station. We stayed for 5 nights. Although there is no parking space, there is a parking lot next to the hotel. Parking is very convenient. If the parking space is full, you can Park in the large parking lot next to Takayama Station. The room is quite spacious and has a small kitchen with pots and pans which is very considerate. Next time I come to Takayama, I would like to stay again.

This is a beautiful self contained apartment on 2 levels. Downstairs is a bathroom/shower and living area. Upstairs a bedroom with a small terrace. Access is by door code supplied by the owner or in our case Booking.com. Unfortunately guests in the other apartment had not been given the door code by their booking agent and did not speak English or Japanese. Fortunately we were able to phone the owner for them. Definitely a communication problem by their booking agent or a language issue by the owner. The apartment is very ''Japanese'' in the sense that the bed is only about 1 foot off the ground. The lounge was also low and uncomfortable and the dining table was so low that it could not be eaten off nor used for a computer. This was extremely annoying. There was also not a single chair in the apartment. Overall even though immaculate the apartment was poorly designed. The kitchen was huge but nowhere to sit and eat!! After we had booked we sought to contact the owners to extend our booking but they had no English language skills at all and we had a frustrating series of emails back which did not help. As we could not stay an extra night (it was festival weekend) we then needed to move to another hotel for a single night whereas we would have preferred to stay at ItoMori.

Especially suitable for a few good friends to travel and stay together, the space is large enough, the toilet bathroom and the bathroom are separated, everyone can move separately, will not affect each other, there is also a microwave oven, induction cooker, freezer refrigerator, if you want to process your own food is also very convenient. The room was clean and tidy, there was no smell, the daily necessities were very complete, and there were disposable face towels, which was worthy of praise. The washing machine can wash the dirty clothes accumulated over a few days, in short, it is very comfortable. To say that there are two points: 1. There is no elevator, and the box goes to the second floor to let the girl collapse 2. It would be better if the laundry was replaced with laundry detergent.
