Place was nice and I enjoyed my stay but the exterior pictures are a bit misleading. I thought all rooms at this hotel were the villas over the water but they’re not. Look at the room type you want before booking. I ended up staying at a hotel when I thought I would be staying in one of these villas

Really like this place , it's location is excellent, on a quiet road but 5 mins walk from the beach, eateries and shops. The rooms are clean and large with a ceiling fan and lots of floor and hanging space. The bathroom is also large with a good shower. Outside the room we have a table and 2 chairs and a hammock. There is a lot of communal areas and hot/cold water is provided by the office. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked an island hopping tour and also hired a scooter for the day. They do food and there is a really nice bar with pool table on the premises. We originally booked 3 nights, still here after 6 and may stay longer! Would definitely recommend to friends and family

We stayed in the apartment for 8 nights. It consists of two blocks. The pool is located on the rooftop of block A. The pool offers a beautiful view, especially at sunset, but there aren't enough sun loungers or chairs to sit and enjoy the sun. Also, the pool itself seemed a bit dirty, with a greenish film on the walls. It's located not far from Eagle Square, with plenty of shops and cafes nearby.
The apartment itself has three rooms. In my opinion, it's in need of renovation and a thorough cleaning. There were stains on the nightstand and wardrobe that I had to wipe down myself. Communication with the hosts is only via email or the Trip.com website's feedback system. There's no Wi-Fi, which is a big drawback. Another negative is the window facing the common corridor, which has wooden blinds but is still quite transparent, meaning people in the corridor can easily look into your room. We messaged the host about this, but they didn't see it as a problem. The TV only worked with one channel, or perhaps we couldn't figure out how to change channels properly.
There was no room cleaning, even though it had been paid for. Our friends stayed in an adjacent block for roughly the same price, but their conditions were much better.

Guest UserThis is a wonderful place to stay in Alor Setar. I used to work here for two years and know some of the other options. For families, this is definitively the best place: The kids loved the infinity pool and the playground on the rooftop. While the kids were playing, we could relax and enjoy the sunset - at roughly the same height as Alor Setar Tower! That alone makes it worth to stay there :).
The apartment is big, with four beds, a washing machine and a huge TV. But contrary to other apartments, this one also has a reception that is really helpful.
We will definitively stay here again next time!

The room we were assigned was a little different from the one in the photo, but at this price, I think it's okay.
Check-in and check-out are both self-service, which I think is very convenient.
It is recommended to rent a car for this location, as it is more convenient. Firstly, there is a parking space. Second, the hotel is located in a relatively remote area.

I had a really pleasant stay at this Airbnb. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Checking in was very easy and hassle-free, which made the whole experience smooth from the start. The host was responsive and helpful, making sure everything went well during my stay. Overall, it was a cozy and convenient place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Guest UserThere are plenty of pros and cons. Overall, my impression was average; I wouldn't come back.
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff, I've never encountered such friendliness in my entire trip to Malaysia; the room is quite spacious and clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay; the location is good, quiet at night, but a 3-5-minute walk to the center changes everything; the pool is excellent with a beautiful view, and the water is clean and pleasant. The billiards area and gym are also in good condition, so there's always someone to play with.
Cons: New hotels are under construction on both sides, about 20 meters apart. I dread to imagine what it will be like once the construction is finished—it looks like they're practically windowless. The construction is a bit dirty and there's an unpleasant smell, as they're still finishing up some work in the hotel itself.
The elevators are a bit clunky; you press one floor and it takes you to the next.
All the amenities are technically there, but some didn't work, as was the case in our case: 1. There's a washing machine with a drying function, which unfortunately isn't available separately, but it also turned out to be unplugged, making it completely useless. Naturally, there was no separate dryer either. 2. There's no broom or mop. If there's no housekeeping, these are essential items for beachside cleaning services, otherwise you'll spend your entire vacation dragging sand and other dirt back to your room.
So, in summary: I'd give the staff a 10, and everything else a 3.

The room is described as a 90-storey bungalow with three rooms. The master room has a large bed, bathroom, and large windows. What you see when you wake up every day is the mountain view in Figure 6.
The middle room has a window and contains two single beds. The third room has a large bed against the wall and has a window but no view. The kitchen supplies include an induction cooker, a cooking pot, six glasses, six bowls, six spoons and six forks. If you need extra toilet paper and knives, you can communicate with the landlord. Chinese is no problem. Check-in requires a cash deposit of 200. Overall, it's clean, new, wide, has a nice swimming pool, and good security. There are dozens of food stalls just a few steps away.
