The room was incredibly spacious and even had a microwave, which was great for heating up food purchased from the supermarket. It also boasted a large balcony with fantastic lake views. The only thing to be aware of is the steep uphill walk from town to the hotel, which could be a bit slippery in winter. Overall, it offers excellent value for money and a prime location.

We stayed at this hotel apartment for three nights during our South Island road trip in Queenstown. The two-bedroom, two-living room lake-view apartment (with two separate bathrooms) was excellent! Make sure to choose a unit on the 4th or 5th floor, as the 3rd floor's lake view might be partially obstructed by other buildings. The kitchen is fully equipped (though you'll need to bring your own seasonings). On the evening of April 18th, we were able to see both the aurora and the Milky Way right from our room's balcony – no need to go out and brave the cold, which was absolutely amazing and so worth it! The hotel parking was also very convenient; we paid 45 NZD for three days. However, it might be inconvenient if you don't have a car, as the hotel is located in a lower area off the main road, and the front desk is a bit of a walk from the other two apartment buildings. It's about 2.5 kilometers from Queenstown center.

Really nice looking room and a very good price performance ratio. And you even get a complimentary drink. Room was nice and warm upon arrival. I didnt really understand the self checkin for a second, cause i didnt know the rooms were directly at the parkinglot, where the whiteboards and the name are written. Really easy and useful for a fast checkin and checkout. I would stay there again.

I checked in at 3:30 PM only to be given a dirty room, which was very disappointing. I immediately went to the front desk to report it, and they asked me to wait. I then asked if an upgrade was possible because the room felt very cramped, and the window only offered a view of the resort grounds, not the sea. It was room 213B, and all 'B' rooms apparently don't have sea views. You definitely need to pick an 'A' room for a good view. A little later, the front desk told me there were no rooms available and still asked me to wait. After another short wait, they said I could switch to room 201B. Upon opening the door, it was much better – it had a side window and even a partial sea view!

-AugustThe hill in Queenstown is really dreadful. The hotel itself is on a hill, and dragging your suitcase without a car is suffocating. The room itself is okay, actually quite large. Because I booked early, the price wasn't expensive. When I saw it had already tripled, it was really scary. There were quite a lot of people during the Spring Festival, but Queenstown is still very beautiful.

Guest UserThe views are stunning and the atmosphere is fantastic. Our room was on the second floor, which was a bit inconvenient with large luggage. You can always ask the front desk staff in advance if you'd like to switch rooms. It's super close to the Lonely Tree, which is incredibly convenient.

Anonymous UserI was very satisfied with the hotel. It's about a 15-minute walk from the airport, and there's a New World supermarket on the way where you can buy groceries and cook. The hotel provides all cooking utensils, including pots, pans, an oven, and a microwave. The free washer and dryer were a great bonus, and the room was very spacious – a one-bedroom apartment with a living room, bathroom, and balcony. Everything was perfect, except for some construction noise starting around 8 AM from next door.

Anonymous UserThe location is great, quite close to the city center and not far from the lake, which makes sightseeing convenient. The hygiene is also good, and the room is nice. There was a small hiccup with the check-in communication, but Trip.com helped resolve it quickly. Their customer service was very responsive and efficient in solving the problem. Thanks a lot!
The picture was taken from the balcony in front of the hotel, and you can see the Skyline Gondola 🚠.

Michael V.We were in the“Seabreaze“ apt, which was very clean and had the exact great views over the beach as described. The bed was comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our breakfast. While it was cold outside, the heating inside kept us warm and cozy. Parking in the garage underneath, or right beside the building for a larger car. Important to mention the Italian restaurant just 100m away at the corner, which is our absolute favourite when coming to Dunedin! We highly recommend staying at the Esplanade Apartments and will book again in the future.

We LOVED this accommodation!
It was at a great location, walking distance to nearby cafe and the Hilton restaurant - which was amazing for sunset drinks overlooking the gorgeous lake and snow capped mountains.
It was close enough to the bustle of Queenstown but far enough away to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The host was friendly and welcoming and provided really useful information that assisted our stay.
Self - paid car parking walking distance.
Other dining options in the immediate area were limited but we had food delivered easily. Thank you!
