The Best Western Hotel Trier is located in the city center of Germanys oldest city.
The freeway in the direction of Saarbrücken and Luxembourg City as well as Luxembourg Airport can be reached in a few minutes.
The Rheinisches Landesmuseum is just a few minutes walk away. Porta Nigra, the ancient roman gateway and landmark of Trier, Kaiserthermen or the Römerbrücke are not far away and offer the opportunity to begin exploring the more than 2000-year history of the city of Trier. A bus stop is right next to the hotel. The departing buses take you during the week every 10 minutes, and at the weekend in the quarter or half-hourly clock, to Porta Nigra, Central Station or with a transfer to the Zurlaubener Ufer, where you can start a tour of the Moselle or have a nice dinner in one of the many restaurants there.
Our hotel offers 127 rooms, a stylish lounge with bar and cozy seating areas, a fitness room, meeting and conference rooms. The central but quiet location directly on the Viehmarktplatz / Europahalle is an ideal starting point for numerous leisure activities.
"We were surprised by how clean, spacious, and tastefully furnished our hotel and room were. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast; it fully met our expectations. The reception was very accommodating and friendly. The location on the edge of Trier's old town and right next to the bus stop is ideal. We were happy. The fact that it rained most of the time didn't bother us much, especially because of the beautiful hotel."

The room was super large, the bed was totally comfortable. It was clean, the staff were nice.
I haven't been so well sleeping in a hotel bed for a long time!
We came exactly at the check-out time to the hotel. We could still use the lift, but we didn't come into the hall and therefore also not into the room because the chip card was no longer active. All super safe.
The staff at the reception was reactivated and we could quietly empty the room and check out.
If I remember it wrong, the parking was free in the parking house. But no guarantee for it.
I can only recommend the hotel.

2008ماياThe room was old, like the entire hotel, but it had a bit of a renovated 70s vintage style. The room was on the 11th floor and offered a very beautiful view of the green mountains. The beds, however, were uncomfortable; the mattresses were very soft, and we woke up with back pain. But at this price, we shouldn't complain too much. The bathroom, contrary to what was written, was new.

Staff was friendly and accommodating, the place is an easy walk from Mainz Hbf so train and local amenities are near, room was warm, I had a queen room but they use two singles put together which I felt was strange as you can only really sleep on one side but it was comfortable to sleep, room isn't quiet, the trains are near the hotel so early morning it can be noisy if you are a light sleeper, you can hear the people in the rooms next to you, I had a guy with the deepest snore next to me it was like the room was vibrating, if you are a deep sleeper then its perfect otherwise light sleepers might have trouble.

Guest UserService was absolutely first class from email contact before arrival, help with a luggage issue upon arrival , checking out, and everything in between. All staff were really lovely and helpful and always smiling!
Food was perfect and the restaurant staff were really engaged with us, recommending items from the menu and perfect wine to accompany the food. Prices were very reasonable too.
This was my second trip to the Mercure in Koblenz and I will definitely be back. Even as a lone female traveller, I felt very comfortable which is a huge benefit to enable enjoyment of the whole trip.

Pros: Short walk from the Central Station, directly opposite the Porta Nigra, within short walking distance from the main tourist sites and many dining options nearby. Its location is unparalleled
Cons: As pointed out by other reviewers, room and furniture is very outdated. There is only a bath-tub to take a shower so do note if one has mobility issue. Biggest issue for me was the pillows: it was so soft I got a neck-ache after 2 nights, and the air-con was not working during a relatively warm summer, fortunately the window could be opened, otherwise it would have been a disaster!!!

The hotel was aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained, with good services including breakfast and complimentary snacks. Staff were extremely helpful and polite, and a member of staff was on hand at reception to check me in even though I arrived late in the evening. My room was huge and amazing value, and was set up for me beautifully. The location, while not central in Mainz, was reasonably well-connected to the city centre via public transport -- the bus stop was a ten-minute walk downhill from the hotel through very pretty neighbourhoods with regional charm.

The hotel's facilities are average, and you can smell the smell of urine in the bathroom after entering the room. Although the cleaning is still clean, it is estimated that the water level has re-seepage or anti-odor.

Miles 2 goThe hotel has a great location, walking distance to the train station and to the river. The room is big enough and the bathroom size is decent too.
I booked a room with two twin beds. I might have selected 1 room and 1 guest instead of two guests when I booked it. The hotel decided I need to pay extra for the additional person plus additional city tax.
They have plenty of rooms ready but when we tried to check in around 1:30, we were told no room was ready.
The WiFi barely worked at all. I had to use my cell data.

Dawei333Very few Chinese people come to the Nürburgring. This hotel is in a good location, right next to the track. It is basically full during the day, including the parking space.
The room is a bit standard, doesn't have many equipment, and it's okay for a good night's sleep.
