Guest UserOn arrival, this place is set in a beautiful location and plenty of green, lovely welcoming from reception staff and went above and beyond with the customer service from start to finish.
However the room itself had some issues which I’d raised to the reception staff.
Food was pretty good, so compliments to the chef.
Room 11 and 12 are positioned near the kitchen extraction fan!!!!

Guest UserGrand old Victorian hotel with a nice clean modern pool, good food and friendly, helpful staff. It’s probably the best place to stay in the town and I’ve now stayed twice and would use it again if I needed to visit the town again. However, the decor is getting rather worn in places and it could benefit from new carpets and redecorating. It’s also quite expensive.

It was a very pleasant hotel, nice and quiet when I visited but it is the beginning of the year, didn't see anyone after checking in, amenities were nice and the room was very comfortable and clean. Location is not too far from Brecon, but best drive as it's around 12 miles. Breakfast was good, just help yourself to bits that are there. I would visit again.

Arrived a little late but everything was prepared waiting for us. The room was small but well-equipped and clean. The bar staff in the evening were good but closed very much at 11. Breakfast was freshly prepared and hot. The hotel is right in the centre of town so a great base for a wander around.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. They serve breakfast, dinner, and lunch. If you want breakfast I would recommend paying for it when you make your reservation as this will be less expensive.
