Excellent breakfast and very clean. Hotel Örk stands out for its excellent breakfast with plenty of variety. The rooms and common areas were very clean and well maintained. A comfortable and pleasant stay overall.

Love this hotel very much. Except the breathtaking view is true to the pictures online, also the attentive service from the reception and housekeeping. Dinner at the hotel is suggested reserving first(they sent email to remind me to do so) and the food and the waitress is nice. They also have a snack bar and swimsuits for purchase. The room design and color tone is really relaxing and functional. The hot tubs outside is so good not only for photos but also for soothing and relaxing the body. Recommend for staying 1-2 nights here during the whole trip.

The room is a bit small, but that's the case for all hotels in Iceland. The surrounding environment is very good. You can hike on the hill in front of the hotel. There is a large lake behind the hotel. When the weather is good, you can see snow-capped mountains in the distance. The grass and birch forest on the side are very pleasing to the eye. There is also a hot spring pool facing the lake not far away.

We appreciated the one-mattress queen-size bed, something we found to be a rarity in our Iceland trip (the norm seemed to be two twin-beds slammed together, which just isn't the same thing. The staff was helpful and the facilities clean and well-maintained. The only negative was the fact that the hotel charged a separate fee to use the hot tub.

The scenery near the hotel is very good. There is a pasture outside the window where you can see horses and sheep. The service staff also have a good attitude. However, the hotel facilities are very old, many of the plugs are loose and cannot be charged, and the desk lamp is broken and does not light up. Most importantly, this hotel has no elevator and does not include breakfast, so it has no value for money.

Book 2 months in advance, the price is 487 yuan more expensive than the temporary reservation, so don't book too early in advance, there are many rooms, not afraid of no room at all

The hotel was in a good location, and breakfast was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we booked this place to use the hot tubs and when we arrived they weren’t filled. I called reception twice to have someone check out the issue but nobody ever came. It was really unfortunate since we had gotten caught in the wind and rain so our bones felt frozen. I decided to have a bath instead but the tub couldn’t hold water haha it was a series of unfortunate events.

The hotel is a resort with a golf course. It is close to Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and is located in a remote area, so it is only suitable for self-driving. The service is basically self-service. You check in with the password sent to your email and leave directly after checking out. The host is at ease and the guests feel at ease. The environment in the early morning was extremely good, and I saw the aurora that I had been longing for at night. The room facilities are basically complete, the hygiene is good, and it is simple yet concise. Due to the location, you can only eat in the hotel. The dinner price is a bit expensive, but the breakfast is quite rich.

Facilities: Very good, the heating was excellent. No elevator though. Hygiene: Clean, hygienic, and well-maintained. Environment: Great location, right by the sea with ocean views. Service: The front desk manager was very welcoming and thoughtful during check-in, even helping guests with their luggage. However, the housekeeping department was poor. They unauthorizedly opened and discarded items that guests had left behind in their room.

The room is well heated! I like it very much! It is also suitable to wear summer clothes in the room in winter, and the washed clothes are dried in one night. There are several restaurants and shopping areas on the first floor of the hotel. The food is not very good. I don't recommend it.

GGuest UserThe good: - Breakfast was very good! - Room and bed was warm. - hot water shower works almost instantly. - Netflix and Amazon Prime available on the TV. Can be improved: - toilet slide door emited loud screeching sound which was annoying. - poor sound isolation between floors, we stayed on the ground floor and we could hear stomping the whole night. We feedback this to the hotel staff but was just given a “I cannot do anything about it” face and a shoulder shrug which clearly indicated they did not have the intention to do anything about it. - phone in the room was not working, staff had to reboot it as they said it’s a common issue. - the air vent in the bathroom stopped moving after sometime, was told to turn it off and on again to make it work again. - we checked in the same time as another couple at the reception, we overheard that they got a complementary room upgrade from the standard room (same as us). We asked if we would be upgraded as well, staff just told us that it depends on the amount we paid for the room. But clearly we booked the same standard room? Overall: Room rate was on the high side and much was expected but the condition of the room and service were under delivered.

GGuest UserWe have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

--Rechen-Hepburn is a very quiet town, so this hotel is quite good in comparison. It's an older-style hotel with no elevator, only stairs. By 7 or 8 PM, there were no supermarkets open for shopping. Overall, if I were to stay in the area again, I'd choose Wicke (assuming Wicke is another location/hotel name, otherwise it might be a typo for 'Wick' referring to a brand of essentials).

GGuest UserThe room was not soundproof at all, and I could clearly hear noise throughout the night. The entire room felt damp, especially the bedding. The blanket was noticeably moist, which caused me to have an allergic reaction. My skin became extremely itchy, and I barely got any sleep the whole night. This was a very uncomfortable experience, and I was extremely disappointed. I will definitely not stay here again.

BBarth 112Pretty nice and extremely kind reception people. I love them. As usual like other hotels in Iceland, you should take a ride to get here. The hotel room was big enough and there were 3 beds in the room although I'm staying by myself. I love the way how the room is formed. I had two doors, one led me to the yard side and the other one faced the other rooms as well as the reception. IDK this is the general rule but the shower pressure was horrible. It took more than 30 minutes to take a shower. Speaking of the Hot tub, it was pretty small and adorable. But if you have plans to visit either Blue Lagoon or Secret Lagoon, You'd better skip this Hot tub.

OOlgaWe stayed in this cabin for a one night and were very impressed by how comfortable and well equipped it was. The kitchenette had a microwave and a kettle to prepare simple meals, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The floor heating created a cozy atmosphere, especially in the mornings. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the sea, where the fresh air and views are breathtaking. One of the highlights was the many sheep grazing nearby, which gave the area a peaceful, countryside charm. It’s an ideal place to relax and recharge, highly recommended! No WiFi in the cabin available but in the lounge in the building nearby

LLivoryGreat place as a rest stop near kirkjubaer. We used Hotel Laki is a base for 3D2N. Nice view from room, service staff spoke english very well. Breakfast was basic and sufficient, eggs, vegetables, cold cuts and cereal with various sauces. Bread toasting station. Id say the machine coffee (espresso based) was one of the best machine made ones we had in Iceland. Nice view from restaurant and bar as well. My room was missed for cleaning but its fine not much had to be done anyway. Plenty of room and bathroom space. Welcomed by a lovely border collie in the compound. Bar opens late till 11
