BBenjiminNice Hotel, location is central enough to walk around, train station is in front of the hotel to board for Dogo Onsen. We opt out of housekeeping as we are just staying for 2 nights, the hotel gives us some vouchers to use @Matsuyama Ropeway Shopping District.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is not close to Dogo Onsen street and you will need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go there. There are no restaurants or shops nearby the hotel. There is a walk nearby the hotel you can take which offers nice scenery in the woods. The hotel looks a bit dated particularly the bedrooms and the corridors. I asked for a quiet room facing the mountain instead of one facing a busy road and had to pay an additional 2200 yen. The hotel has a number of onsens and I like the outdoor ones best. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer good selection and I particularly like the dinner which offered nice teppanyaki beef and sushi.
The hotel reception staff spoke very little English and the hotel did not reply to an email I sent them asking for transportation information to get to the hotel.
There are buses near the hotel which go to Matsuyama and Imabari but they run infrequently.

CChrisPeaAmazing value for such a high class hotel. Spacious rooms, beautiful spa with indoor and outdoor baths. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. About 10 mins walk from JR station. I always stay here when visiting Imabari.

GGuest UserI really had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and simple, with separate bath and toilet, a sauna, and the bathtub was so relaxing I could stretch my legs out for a long time. I really respect the architect who designed this hotel. I think it was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The breakfast was Western-style and excellent. It was delicious. It was so comfortable that I relaxed right up until the last minute before check-out. It's in the Mitsukoshi building, and it's conveniently located along Okaido. I'll go again.

多々羅大橋のたもとにある大三島BSからは島の反対側ですが、バスで移動しました。バス停からはすぐです。
近くにマーレ・グラッシア大三島さんがあって温泉に入れるし、大三島ブリューワリーさんはすぐ近くなのが気に入っています。
大山祇神社も徒歩で行けて、朝の静かで凛とした空気の中でお参り出来ました。
ランドリーやキッチンもあるので、長期滞在やサイクリングの宿に最適だと思います。
オーナーご夫妻も気さくで、また大三島に行く時には利用したいです。

GGuest UserThis is a true classic onsen resort hotel with a fantastic ambiance. The half-board plan (dinner and breakfast) was very satisfying. The service truly stood out; we informed the front desk in advance that our child wouldn't eat raw fish or cold tofu from the Kaiseki menu, and they quickly changed it to tempura. The veteran chef's hospitality and profound skill were undeniable. The natural onsen water at Dogo Onsen was also incredibly relaxing. The actual size of the room must have been over 40 tatami mats; it's the most satisfying Japanese-style room I've ever stayed in.

Both breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Dinner was a 10-course Kaiseki meal, and every dish was delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of choices, with the seafood donburi being particularly outstanding. There were four different baths to choose from. Overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money.

WWanderercBecause it was a last-minute trip, location was my top priority. It's right next to Dogo Onsen, making it a great location for strolling through the shopping district at night.
We stayed in a tatami room for four, and aside from the initially unpleasant tatami smell, everything was fine. The large windows provided a beautiful view.
Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and I was very satisfied. They had a variety of dishes made with Matsuyama ingredients, and the restaurant was comfortable. The staff were all friendly.
The onsen was fantastic. The water was incredibly clean. It was convenient to use, and the view from the open-air bath was amazing.
Having a Korean staff member made everything convenient.

ZZhilvThe first time I stayed at this hotel, the level of health was very high, the restaurant location was relatively small, and the lobby was relatively small.
But the room equipment is very new and clean, there is no noise, the location is not close to the city center, so the environment is very good, but there are large shopping malls nearby. In addition, the hot spring facilities are more disappointing, because there is only a small independent pool, the hot spring pool is less, but overall it is still enjoyable.
