Our stay was fantastic, this is definitely the top choice for anyone visiting Yokohama! The hotel's location is unbeatable, just a few minutes' walk to the Minato Mirai shopping area, the subway station, and the waterfront promenade. It's incredibly convenient for both transportation and sightseeing. The room was spotless and modern, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the view of the city/harbor was excellent, creating a truly relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The breakfast selection was extensive, with both Western and Chinese options that were very much to our taste. The facilities are new, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, allowing for a very flexible itinerary. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or for business, this hotel offers great value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Yokohama!

Excellent location and fantastic views! The hotel itself feels a bit dated, and the toilet rooms don't have a spot to put your phone. Overall, though, the facilities are very well-maintained. The staff's English isn't great, but they are polite.

From Hakone-Yumoto, take the train to Gora Station. After exiting the station, you can walk across from Setsugetsuka Hotel to catch a bus to Kowakien Hotel. The hotel also has a shuttle, but to get to the shuttle pick-up point, you need to go through an underpass, and there's no elevator. The transportation around the hotel is quite convenient, so make good use of the Hakone Free Pass. The hotel rooms are decent, and both breakfast and dinner are buffet style, with good quality and a wide variety of choices. You can enjoy unlimited sweet shrimp! 🦐🦐🦐

Hotel location supposed to be good as it is adjacent to Yokohama Station. However, there is no direct connection between the hotel and the underground mall, I have to lift 3 heavy luggages from train station level (B2) up the stairs in the Joinus underground mall south exit 12. That alone have killed me. I think the hotel avoid telling customers about this great disadvantage. Even after entering the hotel, the front reception is another tens of stairs down to 1F like a split level building, which was extremely inconvenient! The hotel is like travelling back in time to the 70's, almost antique in today's standard. Room key is not a card type but a physical metal key! Room was still spacious (mine was triple room) but having no modern amenities, not enough power outlet for phone charging and/or computer. No storage or drawers, bathroom was extremely small and crowded. My booking included buffet breakfast, which was a surprise, food selection was good, but there were not many customers, one morning my family virtually was thw only table in the entire grand dining room! I can say I have mixed feeling about this hotel, if you have many luggages and arrived by train, think twice as you have to lift your luggages up 34 stairs from B2 to ground level.

The hotel is quite new, and the amenities are excellent. They even have a fridge and a humidifier, and the desk is a standing desk, which is a nice touch. The bed was super comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. It seems all the single rooms are at the end of the hall and don't have bathtubs. If you really like a tub, you might want to book a slightly more expensive room. There's an open-air garden on the top floor of the hotel where you can go to enjoy the night view, so you don't need to go to other observation decks. Overall, Yokohama felt pretty quiet; by 8 or 9 PM, there was hardly anyone on the streets near the hotel... it was practically deserted. The only slight downside was that the front desk staff's English was incredibly difficult to understand. Out of all the people I've encountered in Japan over several days, this was definitely the worst English speaker... perhaps it's because the hotel caters more to Japanese guests.

What more can I say? I'm completely satisfied! Facilities: Very new and excellent. Cleanliness: Every detail was meticulously handled. Environment: Tidy, clean, and comfortable. Service: Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were incredibly welcoming. I intentionally skipped breakfast because I tend to wake up late, so I can't comment on that. Overall, the Hilton Yokohama offers great value for money, and the transportation is very convenient. It's just a 10-minute walk from Yokohama Station, right across the pedestrian bridge.

The hotel boasts an excellent location. It's a mere 5-minute walk from the MM line subway station, and after crossing just two streets, you're in Chinatown. The waterfront is also only a 5-minute stroll away. The room, though under 30 square meters, is considered spacious for Japan, and the bathroom features a convenient wet/dry separation. My room service calls were answered within minutes each time. The front desk staff were incredibly nice and cheerfully assisted with my luggage storage for two days. I highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.

The room was a bit small but perfectly adequate. The view from the window was lovely. Breakfast was great, with a good variety including cooked fish, bread, and even ice cream, all tasting delicious. The front desk had a wide range of complimentary toiletries available, like bath salts and facial masks. The only downside was that I could hear the tram, but it wasn't too loud, and the front desk even offered earplugs. All in all, it's a convenient location and a great choice for getting around.

This was the hotel we stayed at on our last night before heading back home. When I booked it, I just thought it was close to Haneda Airport, but I didn't realize it was quite a distance from the train station. I'm guessing this hotel is probably geared towards the local industrial park. However, I was really surprised by how nice it was – it felt like a four-star hotel back home! (I'm not usually one for fancy things, so this was a pleasant surprise). There wasn't a bathtub in the room, but there's a large public bath on the second floor (though I went too late and didn't get to use it). There's also a self-service laundry room on the third floor. The room itself was well-equipped and comfortable. From the window, you could see Haneda Airport across the water. They also offer a shuttle service to the airport. My daughter and I were probably the only mainland Chinese guests; everyone else seemed to be Westerners.

Exiting Minatomirai Station from Exit 6, take the escalator on your left up to the 2nd floor. Go straight (don't turn left) until you reach the main hall, then turn left and follow the Tokyu Yokohama Bay Hotel signs. Go up a few steps, walk to the end, and through the glass doors. You'll then be on a connecting corridor that leads to the hotel lobby; walk about a hundred meters, and you're there. It's incredibly convenient. The location is excellent, with sightseeing boats right downstairs. It's also very easy to walk across the Goddess Bridge to the Red Brick Warehouse. For daily shopping, food, and drinks, you can head to the area near the subway station. The Keikyu bus to Haneda Airport costs 1000 yen per person and stops right at the hotel's ground floor entrance. You can book your bus time a day in advance with the concierge on the first floor, which is very handy if you have a lot of luggage. I hope to stay here again next time.

Oosiris27This hotel is conveniently located about 200 meters from the Tenyu bus stop, accessible by Hakone's main bus lines, Z03 and J03. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and has a very stylish ambiance. The Japanese-style room, though not huge, was quite spacious and quiet. Despite checking in during February, the room's excellent insulation actually made it feel warm. The private open-air bath on the balcony was amazing; even with outside temperatures around 5 degrees Celsius, the continuous flow of 40-degree-plus hot spring water meant it was never cold. The hotel also offers outdoor public baths and a footbath. Plus, on the 5th floor lobby, there are two free ice cream machines – just ask the front desk for complimentary tokens to enjoy as much as you like – and a continuous supply of various iced teas. I must especially commend the dining experience; half-board (dinner and breakfast) is an absolute must! Upon check-in, the front desk proactively changed our two nights of shabu-shabu to one night of shabu-shabu and one night of kaiseki. Each dinner was a full course, incredibly delicious, and left us completely stuffed. For breakfast, there are two restaurants, and I highly recommend the buffet; the variety is extensive and far superior to the breakfast at the Imperial Hotel, which is often ranked as a top Tokyo dining spot on Ctrip. The hotel also hosts free evening performances, and you can even pay to release sky lanterns. Honestly, if I came to Hakone 100 times, I'd stay at Tenyu 100 times.

GGuest UserYama No Chaya has its own beauty and serenity. I personally don’t find it hard to locate - 2 bus stops away from Hakone Yumoto station + a 5 minutes walk are worth the stay. (Bus service stopped for one of the days due to bad weather and we walked for 20 minutes to Hakone Yumoto Station - all good) The team is very hospitable - they also have some English and Chinese speaking staff otherwise simple English is not an issue to communicate. Our butler - Sandip always carry a smile with him, and he ensured we are very well taken care of. Every morning, the team will prepare heat pack and umbrellas for us (it was raining and snowing). In the evening, they made tea and prepared snacks (vary from mochi to sushi) for us upon our returned. The room we booked is Yamano Ichigo (main wing) - just nice for 2. The viewing platform was where we relaxed every evening and we soaked our tiredness away in our very own private onsen at the basement. Despite of having our own private onsen, I still went to visit 3 other public onsen within the Ryokan - you will not be disappointed. Our room came with daily breakfast and we added on dinner for 1 night. I must say the chef and culinary team put in their passion and effort to prepare all the dishes. It’s not common for a visitor like me to taste Kaisekai cuisine which I enjoyed very much. You need to take time and an empty stomach to full experience it :) However, my partner and I weren’t used to heavy breakfast and our butler noticed it - we get to change to western style for the rest of the stay which was equally delicious. We are thankful that we minimised food wastage. Overall, we felt pampered during our stay at Yama no Chaya :) I will return again in the future when I visit Hakone.

AANASTASIIA_BERDNIKOVAThis hotel is a paradise in the mountains of Hakone! Traditional style of the rooms - it feels like you are living in a Japanese family. We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room. It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes). It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. The hotel has a relax room. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere. We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute. Breakfasts were also in kaiseki style - varied and unusual. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. this hotel allows tattoo baths. great experience, thank you very much! want to come back again!

2203779****We booked a lake view room, and it was snowing heavily the day we checked in. The view from the window was absolutely stunning, I've never realized how beautiful snowfall could be. The next day, it was clear and sunny, offering a different kind of beauty. We could even see Mount Fuji from our bed just by opening the curtains! This hotel is truly amazing, and the service is excellent. The lady at the front desk who spoke Chinese was incredibly patient. It was truly an unforgettable travel experience!

SscottjingThe hotel lobby has a 7-Eleven, which is really convenient for grabbing snacks and drinks. There's also a mall downstairs, and you can walk through it to get to the train station easily. The Ramen Museum is only a 10-minute walk away, and tickets are 450 JPY per person. However, the room's heating is still centrally controlled and can't be adjusted; it didn't feel warm at all. The windows are sealed and can't be opened for ventilation, and I didn't see an air purifier in the room, so the lingering smell of smoke was quite unpleasant.

KKunmingzi🏔️✨【Hakone Indigo Hotel: A Dreamlike Mountain Retreat】 This was my first stay at Hakone Gōra Indigo, and I was truly rejuvenated by the ambiance. The hotel is nestled in a hot spring resort surrounded by mountains; opening the window reveals layers of greenery and distant clouds and mist, as beautiful as a painting. The room design is modern yet elegantly Japanese, and the open-air onsen was fantastic. The spring water was smooth and comforting, instantly washing away a day's fatigue. Breakfast was also incredibly impressive, using fresh local ingredients; you could feel the attention to detail even in the bread and juice. The staff were friendly and attentive, with every greeting feeling warm, making you feel right at home. The overall experience exceeded expectations, and it's worth revisiting, whether you're a couple, a family, or a solo traveler. 💛 The only thing worth mentioning is that the in-room onsen water seemed to be completely diluted; you could even call it a 'fake' onsen. It lacked the typical onsen smell and was essentially just hot water.

There was no hair dryer in my room during the stay. After I told the front desk staff, they found it for me in time. The decoration at the entrance of the store is very stylish
