Hotels With bar in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan

The hotel's front desk service was excellent. They quickly and helpfully resolved a bug with the parking lot access, which was very thoughtful. The room was small, a typical Japanese-style room. The location is quite good. The image shows the information for the hotel's partner parking lot.

The hotel is obe of the biggest in the area. We were fetched by the hotel’s van bexause it was raining. But it is walkable from the bus stop. There is free coffee and snacks in the lobby area. And also free beer in the bar. The onsens are very big and clean. Both public and private ones are super nice and clean. The private onsen did not have towels so make sure to bring your own. Rooms are big and clean with the view of the creek or river. Staffs are nice and approachable

This is definitely a fabulous and fantastic experience living in a Ryokan, and this Ryokan is also reputable among local people, which means it is highly recognized by Hitoyoshi residents. Some local residents also spend their time in this Ryokan as a relaxing journey. I ordered the room with breakfast served, and it looked so amazing and delicate. I hope to visit here again in the near future if there will be any chances. I absolutely love this little town.

When we arrived at the hotel, we couldn't find a parking spot, and then one of the staff members—I think Elly—helped us tremendously to find a parking spot. The staff is very helpful and super friendly. The hotel is centrally located.  It is very quiet in the hotel itself. The surroundings are also extremely quiet, so we were able to sleep well. The beds were very good. One minor downside is that they didn't offer drinking water. So you had to get it yourself, and the 7-Eleven was around the corner, so that wasn't really a huge problem. We enjonyed our stay. Thank you!

The food and accommodation were amazing! They even provide yukata (a casual kimono) to wear, and the onsen (hot spring) facilities are really special. Besides the regular hot springs, they also have mud masks and a hot mist sauna! The late-night ramen was delicious too! It was a great experience, absolutely no downsides except for the price, haha! 🤭

What I loved -Super big room with plenty of space. Very comfortable! -Free yukata and sleepwear were provided, and they were really comfortable to wear. -Loved the onsen experience! There are different onsen baths, and everything is connected indoors so you don't have to go outside. -Buffet dinner and breakfast were amazing. So much variety, and the Aso milk was incredibly fresh and delicious. -The room had a beautiful view. Waking up to the scenery was one of the highlights of the stay. -Great place to relax, and I would definitely bring my family back next time. What could be better -The open-air parking lot is quite large, and some parking spaces are a bit far from the hotel lobby.

The room was new and the service was good. You absolutely must try the complimentary 60-minute hot spring bath; although it's a large public bath, the environment is very comfortable. The location is a 3-minute walk from Suizen-ji Temple and about a 17-minute taxi ride from Kumamoto Castle. Breakfast and dinner were also delicious.

The resort location is accessible actually by bus from tateno 立野 station and the last bus is in the evening you may check the timetable online. We did not drive and leaving the accommodation is less convenient because all taxis were booked out but the staff was very friendly as to driving us to the nearby train station to continue our journey to Aso Volcano. Service was good. The private onzen was amazing and we were able to use it for one hour. The public bath was good too but the amenities they provided inside were not as enough, eg they don't have comb for ladies and make up removing pads. Other than that, cleanliness was amazing and staff were friendly, rooms had amazing Mountain View's.

The dinner food is very rich and fresh, the breakfast is as delicious, there is Asu Shrine nearby, and the private hot spring is very enjoyable. Definitely come again next time.

I stayed in Fukuoka for three nights in total on this trip. Two nights in Fukuoka, then one night in Beppu after checking out, and then back to Fukuoka for another night. To avoid bringing luggage to Beppu, I booked the same hotel, but with two different room types. The standard double room was actually better than the larger room type; there was no strange odor in the bathroom, and while it was a bit smaller (though relatively spacious for Japan), the layout was more functional and didn't hinder luggage placement. The hotel offers self-service luggage storage, but it's not for overnight. After discussing my situation with the front desk, they agreed to store my suitcase there overnight.
