Our room was conveniently located right by the pool entrance, making swimming incredibly easy! It faced the ocean, but the waves were too rough for swimming, so we could only enjoy walks along the beach. As it was the weekend, the hotel had children's activities and evening shows. The buffet was very generous, and the desserts were delicious. A big thank you to Jayaru who checked us in; they discovered it was my birthday the next day and surprised me with a birthday cake at breakfast.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, we were quickly settled and met with a welcome drink. The staff were very friendly, but the rest of the hotel staff were very strangely behaving(noisy, shouting, arguing among themselves).
Our room was clean and clean, the room was a large balcony as well
big refrigerator. Very good was water pressure in the shower. The hotel location is also excellent (through the road beach, 5 minutes walk to the grocery store) Fear the mafia of Tuckers

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff at the reception desk, and our positive impression continued when we saw our room. It was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean and a perfect space to relax in.
Unfortunately, our enthusiasm dipped when we looked out the window. We had eagerly anticipated the sea view we booked, but found ourselves on the first floor looking directly onto the main path to the restaurant. The lack of both a view and privacy was a real disappointment.
The challenges were compounded by a local festival taking place during our stay. This rendered the beach unusable due to the sheer volume of people. Worse, the road closures made leaving the hotel a logistical headache, leaving us feeling a bit trapped. A final frustration was discovering there were no shops nearby and no convenience store in the hotel itself, so be sure to pack everything you might need.
In summary, while we can't fault the hotel on its cleanliness or the friendliness of its staff, the experience was significantly hampered by the room mix-up and the festival chaos. It wasn’t a bad stay, but it was far from the relaxing getaway we had planned.
We stayed at this hotel for one night. While the property is quite old and the décor and furnishings are noticeably dated, the room was impeccably clean. I was able to walk barefoot in the room without any discomfort, which reflects the hotel’s strong cleanliness standards.
The location is one of the hotel’s highlights, situated beautifully along Hikkaduwa Beach with plenty of beach chairs and sunbeds available for guests. Breakfast and dinner were satisfactory, though not particularly outstanding.
The service was very good, with warm, friendly, and attentive hospitality, which is consistent with the high standard of service generally found in Sri Lanka. The hotel was also very kind in allowing our driver to stay as well, which was a thoughtful and generous gesture. Overall, it was a pleasant beachfront stay with excellent cleanliness and service, despite the aging facilities.
My trip to Sri Lanka staying at RIU Hotel was amazing. It was my first time booking an All-Inclusive package, and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect—but overall, the experience exceeded my expectations.
There were a few areas that could be improved. The food, for instance, felt a bit low in quality, with limited options for a healthy diet. The gym was quite small, with limited equipment, and it would be great if the opening hours were extended to accommodate more guests throughout the day.
That said, the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive and professional, always anticipating guests’ needs—especially in the buffet restaurants.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try the à la carte restaurants as they were fully booked and very much in demand—something we weren’t aware of in advance.
We’d definitely love to return once the monsoon season is over, as the weather wasn’t ideal during our stay. The beach, while beautiful, was unsafe for swimming at the time, which was a bit disappointing.
Very pleasant stay in the ancient city of Galle, giving people an unexpected surprise!
The location of the hotel is a prime location, deeply embedded in the core area of the ancient city of Galle ~ 15 minutes walk to the Galle Railway Station, 5 minutes to the long coastline of the castle, the major attractions in the ancient city are within reach, and travel is convenient to no need to deliberately plan the route.
The most fascinating thing is the hotel itself: as a century-old building retained in the Dutch occupation period, the retro European decoration is full of the charm of the times, every detail is precipitated with historical texture, it is no wonder that it has become a popular landmark for many tourists to punch in. It is a blockbuster with a sense of atmosphere.
The service is impeccable! The staff is professional and warm-hearted, as kind as friends. In particular, we should exaggerate the head of the hall, Salander, the warm and humorous character is very infectious, his service is meticulous to the bone, not only patiently answering our various questions, but also actively sharing local niche play, the whole process of intimate escort, so that the journey is particularly comfortable.
Special morning tea and breakfast are the finishing touch: each dish is made on the spot, the ritual feeling is full, fresh ingredients are matched with authentic flavor, the entrance is an unforgettable taste bud enjoyment, open every day full of vitality.
The time here is pleasant and healing, whether it is a stroll in the ancient city, a hair dryer on the beach, or a quiet feeling of slow life in the hotel, it has left precious memories. This perfect stay experience is definitely worth recommending to every traveler to Galle!

The area is popular for hiking and snorkeling, in addition, bike rental and car rental are available at this hotel.
Galle International Cricket Stadium is 12 miles from Kahaii Surf hotel, while Galle Fort is 12 miles from the property. Koggala Airport is 3.7 miles away.
I really liked the hotel itself. The room is well-equipped, there is even wireless charging, YouTube TV works. Stylish, modern, clean.
There is a beautiful swimming pool with a view. It is perfect for a secluded, quiet holiday. A tuk tuk takes you to the nearest beach. But you still have to walk a bit. The beach is wave-free, you can swim.
The restaurant is priced above average, but it is delicious and well-served
The tuk tuk drivers try to increase the price because the hotel is on a mountain.
Oh ... This hotel just fell in love with itself!!! Photos I do not apply because they are real in the hotel profile. Here is everything! We were in the 4 suite for the 3rd floor and it is really the best hotel in Sri. Very atmospheric and thoughtful, the eyes are joyful for every trivial. Service: Settled early and fast, cleaned in room 2 times a day!!!!!! , the pool is clean, the food in the restaurant is delicious , but expensive.
The ocean is not calm here, but if you are on a car or on a bike, 10 or 20 minutes in different directions and either Unavatuna or Veligma or Mirissa ( tuck will also deliver ).
Restaurants are also in step-by-step availability.
I'm the second time in Sri and there's something to compare with, so I highly recommend. The hotel is worth its money, not ordinary network and not killed local. We'll be back here 100%
Aaaaa and on the 3rd floor a charming patio with lying, just huge, this bonus is just a gun

AAnonymous UserMy wife and I stayed here during our vacation in Sri Lanka, choosing it because of the high Google ratings. The location really impressed us. The hotel is literally a step away from the beach and less than five minutes’ walk to town, which made it very convenient. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach and listening to the waves was easily the best part of the stay.
The lobby was simple but acceptable, and there is a seafood restaurant right next to the hotel.
At check-in, there was a small hiccup. I booked through Trip.com, but they couldn’t find my booking at first. After about ten minutes, they managed to sort it out and confirmed that the booking came via Agoda. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming, even offering us a drink on arrival.
Our room on the second floor had a great view of the sea. The shower had good water pressure, although the bathroom could use better ventilation. The toiletries seemed diluted, so we ended up using our own.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning became a real problem. It leaked so badly that the room flooded twice, soaking my shoes. Despite my request for a pail to manage the water, they initially only gave floor mats, which was very frustrating. By the time they finally sent a pail, it was too late. We barely slept that night because of the constant dripping sound.
Overall, the location and friendliness of the staff were strong points, but the poor handling of the air conditioning issue really spoiled our experience.
FFrankThe hotel is well-known, a little old, but the area and overall atmosphere are normal. The price/quality ratio is reasonable. An excellent restaurant overlooking the ocean and a very strange restaurant where breakfast and dinner are held (reviews on Google maps) confirm this. The beach is a little dirty, but this is not a problem of the hotel but of the local population in general.
PpeaglerThe room itself is adequate. The air-con was strong and the shower was good.
When I arrived, there was no one there. I opened the gate and walked in. I called the number to the property and the person who answered arrived shortly thereafter. He said no one was there because of the New Year holiday. He showed me to my room. I asked for one in the back, but he said he was having a party and that might be too much for me. After I got settled into a clean room in the front facing the traffic, there was no towel or soap.
Late at night after I was asleep, I was startled by someone who began banging on my door and turning the knob several times to get in. I yelled at that person and told him to stop. It did stop and afterward, I felt completely unsafe. I got up to put my heavy suitcase at the door to prevent the intruder from coming in.
The staff person had said to me that he was having a party, but then said it was cancelled. There were several men at the property when I returned in the evening. I'm not sure who the perpetrator was maybe it was one of them. There is no peep hole and the windows are frosted. I felt completely vulnerable. I didn't even think to call the staff person because I was frightened and sleepy. My advice is to be cautious if you stay here.
MM445002****As one of Sri Lanka's top luxury hotels, the Shangri-La maintains excellent hygiene and safety standards; sniffer dogs conduct luggage searches before entry. The Shangri-La's breakfast and dinner buffets are well-suited to Chinese tastes. The beach is also beautiful.

DDoufutravelsThis stay was the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The room is in the heart of nature, and you’re surrounded by the sounds of the wild, fresh air away from the roads, and the peace and quiet that comes with a more intimate stay. Additionally, the breakfasts have been our favourite, especially the hoppers! It was all fresh and Sri Lankan style, served with the jungle in front of us. One morning, we had monkeys. Another, chipmunks. One special night, we had fireflies. The location was exceptional.
However, it was Praneeth who really made this place special for us. We had great conversations, and he even recommended me a great birdwatching app. One night, we chatted for a couple of hours and I learned so much about this beautiful country. Genuinely, Praneeth is a huge value to Jungle Loft. He was attentive, thoughtful and a wonderful representation of the kindness Sri Lankan people exude. Thank you so much, Praneeth for your warmth!
I can’t recommend Jungle Loft enough. It’s an ideal location, it’s private, it’s beautiful, and you’ll be looked after. Go for it!!
JjainRajatExcellent location. Quite nearby to mirissa harbour and weligama. Liked the property. They arranged a candle lit dinner setting nearby beach as it was my honeymoon on request for no additional charges.
Liked the beach, the swimming facilities and the buffet for dinner as well as breakfast.
Arranged breakfast box as i had to go on whale watching and would have missed my breakfast.
Very nice staff.
Only thing they can improve is a bit quick on service as we had to call multiple times for getting our room cleaned.
GGuest UserHotel is very comfortable and client oriented. We are happy to stay there. Thank you very much for beautiful holiday and hospitality. Especially I should mention the size and delicious of breakfasts. A lots of thanks to the cook team
