This round the guard are very rude, it's raining day and parking fully occupied either basement and outdoor, request to park at hotel backyard and the guard refused to open and insist on showing the room card. Have to park just beside the the hotel and went into reception to inform receptionist about the incident then the guard only open the gate. Total disappointment on this round. The hotel itself need to figure out the hotel guest parking availablity due to ground floor gym members has increased and ended up limited parking for the guests.

Parking are convenient with just a few step to Hotel main entrance. Great welcoming from front desk. Thanks to Christin Loh for time showing us the wonderful art on the lobby area. Few picture taken by us and family especially at one of the art with Harimau design wall. Enter the room with neat bed made up and clean environment. Warm and cozy design with black wall but brighten by light in the room. Entire one night stay was not enough will definitely came again for the next visit to Ipoh. Thanks Christin and Team.

Strategically located hotel, with access to the mall. The cultural sites are a short drive away. Ipoh is not really a pedestrian friendly city. Lovely roof top pool and bar. Friendly staff with professional concierge. Room was lovely, was given a corner room with a small side window, fortunately I was able to change it to a regular room with window. Bed and pillows were firm and super comfortable, was able to sleep well! Lovely bath tub, and bathroom. Breakfast was sufficient and dinner offers were really well priced and delicious.

check in was fast and smooth at level 12z . room was clean. water dispenser was provided outside of room which was easy to access (hot,room temperature & cold water selection). good location, few minutes walk to concubine lane + places of interest (e.g Ho yan hor museum, Han Chin Pet Soo Museum) 5 mins car ride to ipoh railway. 15mins from ipoh international airport. about 10mins walk to nam heong. breakfast was good - tea/coffee provided. sufficient for us to keep our tummy full to start our day.

The hotel is about 10 minutes from the city centre. I take Grab to go there from Ipoh Parade it cost me about RM8. The location is not sorrounded with shop that is why i go to eat and shop a few thing first at Ipoh Parade. The check in was smooth and no deposit required. The room was clean eventhough the furniture was old. I love the comfy bed and it was king bed. The aircond was good. The water flow is good. Also got Sejadah for muslim. Free drinking water. My room not includes breakfast so in the morning i just walk in to the resto and paid RM41. I took nasi lemak with sambal paru but sambal paru was salty. Not many variation of food but overall was okay. Got fresh fruit and fresh original fruit juice. Check out at 12.45 because my appointment at hospital was 2pm. I want to thank to the recioptionist because they dont call my room to urge to check out at 12. Thank you for your consideration 😁.

Overall the hotel is excellent and the location is near highway, just 10 mins to Ipoh town. The hotel room lack of full mirror and the fridge isn't cold enough, just room temperature.

Enroute to Penang, we stopped by Ipoh for rest and a quick foodie run. The private indoor parking was good and there are plenty of parking outdoors in case it’s full. Check in was confusing because the reception said our booking did not include breakfast, so we spent next 10min to sort it out after showing evidence of booking details. Room was large, clean, well configured, AC strong and lighting thoughtfully laid out. They even provided bedroom slippers, which is a nice little touch. We had a room with a view of the nearby mountain and outdoor car park. There was also a simple complimentary afternoon tea right after we checked in. There is a sundry store, clinic, dentist and several restaurants within walking distance so it was very convenient. We happenstance found a very nice seafood restaurant within 10min walk, so that was a good find! Breakfast was reasonable and the restaurant staff there were helpful.

The hotels location is very good because it is right in the heart of Taiping. It is also connected to a shopping mall to buy food and other essentials. The room is clean and comfortable. But the service could be improved. My room I paid for was a twin, but I got double instead. And the city view is OK, but obscured by a large roof. There was a missing chair and the safe deposit box was locked but fortunately this was rectified by the Indian hotel manager. Honestly, I think he’s the only one who truly understands customer service. Other staff are average and some are kindof lazy. When I wanted to checkout, two Malay staff were at reception and saw me but couldn’t be bothered to attend to me while I waited right in front of them. Only the Indian manager, who was actually doing something else, put down his work and came to my assistance. The hotel restaurant only serves breakfast, afternoon tea and room service. No dinner. Too bad, as it’s quite a nice looking restaurant. Car Park is free for guests and located on the 6th floor. Overall, I did have a good stay. I think I’ll try the lake view room next time since they have cleaned their windows.

But the aircon was directly blowing the bed, so I can only put the baby cot to the end of my bed, so kids won't fall sick. And not sure why the hotel is not providing small face towels and so stingy about providing towels.

Room is a bit old though renovated but still comfortable. I will say it is worth it for the price. Breakfast lacks variety so consider booking wiothout it since there are numerous dimsum nearby.

This hotel offers a decent stay for its price. The room was clean, comfortable and huge. It was so relaxing to stay and quiet. However, the breakfast is good. The location is convenient, close to Ipoh's attractions, and the staff were friendly and helpful, which enhanced the overall stay. The onsite spa was a nice touch for unwinding. It's a good choice. Need more parking space.

M Boutique Hotel really made our stay the best ever. They were able to accommodate to my birthday decor for the room request and even have balloons and a slice of cake prepared for us on our special day. We really appreciate the hospitality and effort. The stay overall was very impressive. We checked in 30min earlier and the staff are very friendly too, parking is free at the back and the room despite it is a bit small but it’s actually good enough for two person. The place is also in the city centre where we can drive to nearby popular coffee spots and attractions within few minutes. Definitely a great recommendation to those who want an affordable and quality stay in Ipoh and will book again on our next visit for sure!

i would say this hotel has so much potential to become a great hotel, from a mediocre hotel it is now. The location is perfect.. within the vicinity of the famous Taiping Lake Garden but towards Bukit Larut. Though it is bit out of the main road, it is still good reach by vehicles. Or if u stay without vehicle, u still can call for Grab for food. etc. I saw an archery field at the back of the hotel. And i know, nearly there is a waterfall area. In front of this property, there is another equally interesting looking accommodation called Kamal Lodge that i can clearly see from my room Room 204. My room, though a Standard Room, was adequately furnished, though the aircond was OK OK only prolly because they use 1hp aircond, for a relatively big room. The towel though clean, was already old and time to change it. Breakfast was additional RM25 though i didnt take it, but i saw the restaurant was big and welcoming. The lobby i thnk, can be further improved. Prolly, u guys can provide bicycle renting service etc to the guest. Maybe they have, i didnt asked. I just wish the lobby and the lift have more soft touch to make the guest more..welcomed? But the lobby staffs were courteous and friendly and accommodating as i need to borrow their phone charger for a while. some newer hotel stayed already have the USB plug in the room though. anyway, i still want to recommend this place for families..as their pool look interesting for kids..though the water looked bit murky. and the big room of course. But ya i want to come back in the future to check on their progress!

This hotel conveniently located around the tourist attractions. The eateries also very nearby. This hotel also provides EV charging stations (3 lots). The staffs were very accommodating and quite fast service. The room was exactly as advertised. Water pressure also good. I intent to come back as we did not have enough time for Bukit Larut’s trip and wanted to visit the Prison too. The Museum was having international museums day so, we did not pay for the entrance fees. The cafe nearby the reception area was having promotional buffet and ala carte and the price also very affordable. I highly recommend families with kids to stay here. Safe and convenient. CIMB bank is just across the street.

The reason i choose the hotel was the price, base on some pictures in Agoda. Was throughly happy with my choice! The basement parking is proper and has good spacing. They use card system to go to respective lift, not common to many hotels in Taiping.. safe and secure.. My room, room 615 (probably the cheapest..im sure they have much bigger room) was good for 1 or 2 person..with good air con, reliable wife and safe deposit box. Though it doesnt have clothes cupboard, there are some hanging spaces to hand clothes. The bed is good with god pillow. The sound proof is acceptable, though the corridor sound can be heard, at least no sound fron the main road to the room. The lining (bed sheet and towels) are crisp ans clean too. The unit doesnt have small fridge, iron board and cuttle but they have all these facilities near the lift. There are 2 complimentary drinking water in the room, with 2 packet of local coffee too. In term of location, it is right smack in front of Tesco amd besides Tesco, therw is a mall called Taiping Mall that has everything inside, including Watson, Starbucks, Texas Chicken and even Family Mart. If thats not enough for u, there is AEON Mall about 700-900 meter away..that has TGV. The lake garden ia about 5 KM away i assume. Overall, i can recommend this hotel for everybody who is on a budget, that islooking for a decent stay/transit stay in Taiping.

Room is quite spacious. Bed is firm and comfortable. Towels are a good size and plush. In dire need of new paintwork, thorough cleaning and maintenance. The whole place feels grimy especially the carpet, the window latch is broken so the noise from outside seeps in, air cond is not cold enough and there are stains on the walls and in the toilet. Some weird details such as no latch on the bathroom door so it cannot close securely from inside the room, roller blinds instead of curtains (which is cut so narrowly it just barely covers both sides of the window). It is next to the train track and an elevated expressway so traffic noise in the middle of the night can be disturbing, particularly with a broken window latch. Not as near as expected to Taiping lake gardens; it's about 10 minutes drive. Wouldn't stay again since there are many other nearer, better hotels around.

We’re greeted by friendly staffs even though we checked in quite late. The SOP of the hotel was well carried out with the temperature machine, QR code, and automatic hand sanitiser. The place was super clean & comfortable. The elevator was modern & fast too. The hallway of the room was clean, the exterior of the hallway as well as the room numbers on the wall was very nice. I really like that. The “do not disturb” and “make up my room” sign was operated by a switch inside the room which was nice! The room was REALLY clean, comfortable, well-organized. The beds, blankets & pillows were so soft, comfortable. Air-conditioner was working well. The tv has a few interesting, nice channels. The toilet was clean, floor wasn’t slippery at all. And I really enjoy the showers at the wall & on the ceiling as light shows up when I turned it on. That made me really happy while showering! 😂 The shampoo & bath gel was super nice to use. Thank you so much for the friendly welcome, the clean, comfortable room. I stayed here for 2 days 1 night but it was SO worth it. Will definitely come back!

My wife and I recently made our way to Taiping which was where she grew up. This trip was therefore akin to a post-pandemic pilgrimage of sorts to revisit her roots. We had high expectations and the Flemington Hotel did it's part to deliver on an overall good experience. Wendy Yong, the Front Desk Manager was generous with her time and very hospitable. The hotel was slightly weathered by time but the customer experience and location by the Lake Gardens was superb. It was also within walking distance of a range of hawker fare. I'd recommend a lake-facing room for an excellent view.

A very cosy + comfortable boutique hotel just 300m from the famous Taiping Lake Gardens. Location doesn't get better than this if you're in town for a holiday as it's minutes away from some of the key tourist attractions in town. Rooms are comfortable, price is also very fair. Highly recommended!

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was small and not very clean. There were carpets in several places and the hot electric iron was burned. There were stains on the sheets, the towels were small and very old. The shower water is warm at most and cannot be a good head for a day. TV often gets disturbed, so basically can't watch, because the program is constantly interrupted, although the air conditioner has a control keyboard, but the constant temperature function does not work, so the room is either very hot and humid, or very cold. The worst part was that the food was simply uneatable, and I tried English and Malaysian, with roast chicken mostly uncooked chicken skin.

It is unique! Entrance is through a storage freezer!!! You won’t miss it because of its huge eagle on the roof. Staff are friendly and helpful. However, my complaint would be of other guests and not because of Happy 8. You see, Happy 8 is made of wood and it is common sense that you have to think of other visitors in other rooms when you yell or turn on your music full blast or even stomp around in your room. There is no sound proof. I love this lodging because of its location and convenience. But I had a gorrilla living above us who stomps around until after midnight. And we hear children screaming because parents could not be bothered about other visitors; thinking that they are living in their own house. That’s what makes the lodging unpleasant. If all visitors think of others and do your part in trying to keep some peace and quiet, Happy 8 would be a great place to stay!
