The location is very good. Receptionist carried out her duty very well and also provided good info regarding car parking.
Ah! We were shocked by the smallness of the unit!! The only other place I have seen a similar one was in Japan. I am just wondering why Accor has to go to the extent of maximizing profits with offering of cramped spaces both in bathroom & room.
Due to heavy rain on the west coast, I went back to the town and stayed for one night. It was clean. Every room on the first floor has a back door to the garden. Breakfast is included. Bread, jam, coffee and tea are included. The whole meal seems to be 21.5 yuan. , Feng Jian by people
It's strange that the actual hotel name is completely different from what's listed on Trip.com! It's across from the botanical garden, a garden-style hotel with a top-notch environment. The roses blooming there are even more beautiful than those in the botanical garden. The room is comfortable, and the bed is incredibly cozy. Breakfast is quite rich. However, the bathroom facilities are a bit outdated. The bathtub has no non-slip mat or handrails, making it easy to slip and quite dangerous. The shower stall is so narrow that even as an Asian person, I found it cramped; I can't imagine how a European or American person would manage to turn around in it.
Warm and good service staff. We mistakenly treated the restaurant as a reception, and the bar staff was very patient and said that this often happened, and then took us to complete the check in. Breakfast was great! There are also microwaves, tableware and free tea bags that can be used in the ballroom. The steaks in the restaurant are delicious!
Traveling with friends, we booked four rooms. They were clean, hygienic, and quite new. The lobby is small, and we didn't book breakfast so I can't comment on that. The rooms are a bit like a domestic Atour or All Seasons hotel, which is perfectly fine. The price was also very reasonable, especially since we used a room voucher, making it a great deal.
The hotel is not very old so it's quite fresh and clean, it's in a great spot and staff are pleasant enough. The pool is very small and got busy but you're staying in kaikoura - get in the sea. Beds are comfortable. We didn't have time to try out the restaurant or bar as we went into town (a favourite of ours on the south island). Parking was easy - we parked on the street outside.
Lovely hotel, amenities are good. Close to the city and within walking distance to Casino, pubs and cafes.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay at the Carnmore, would stay there again.
The hotel is centrally located in Christchurch, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel were commendable. However, the rooms are not very spacious, which was a bit of a letdown. Additionally, the curtains appeared to have not been cleaned for a long time, which negatively impacted my experience. Despite these issues, the prime location and cleanliness of the hotel made for a reasonable stay.
After landing in Christchurch on a red-eye flight, it was already deep into the night when we checked in. The gentleman at the front desk, who had a British accent, was incredibly enthusiastic and efficient. Whatever we needed, even in the dead of night, was promptly brought to our room after a quick call. The hotel is conveniently located right behind a street bustling with restaurants, and it's also just a short distance to the city center for shopping. In fact, we later regretted not staying here again when we returned to Christchurch after our travels and opted for a different hotel.

GGuest UserA decent hostel in a not-so-far location from the centre. The kitchen and common areas are specious enough and kept clean daily regardless of careless people that were not taught how to clean after themselves. There’s parking available free of charge which is great with an alternative to park on neighbouring streets if full. The beds are not the best, very wobbly and noisy when you turn or tried to climb up. Separate sockets and lights by each bed are great. There are lockers but you need your own bad lock. Staff was polite and friendly.
GGuest UserI was a bit disappointed. I was expecting this to be a 5 star place, but there were a lot of things that were definitely not 5 stars. The robes were grey and didn't cover bigger people. One of them had pilling all over it, I didn't want to even wear it. The bathroom door squeaked loudly, so if one person got up to the toilet in the middle of the night, it woke the other person up. There were instructions on how to use the spa bath, but not on how to put the plug in. It didn't just plug in normally. We weren't able to use it on our first night which was very frustrating as it was one of our main attractions. I rang housekeeping the next day. Someone came and had a look and said that you had to turn a know on the side of the spa, how would anyone know that? The lock on the door to outside was broken and a small slide lock had been put on. Why not fix the main lock? I used the toilets to the side of the library and when I washed my hands, the tap was all loose and wobbled round. All these things are little but show that the lodge needs to have things fixed or updated. For $300 per night, you expect the best. The worse thing was on our last morning, we got to breakfast about 8:45, the restaurant closes at 9:30 am. There was continental and scrambled eggs and bacon. At about 9:00 am they stopped bringing out anymore bread to toast. No more croissants, eggs or bacon were brought out. There were about 6 tables with guests and everyone kept going up and checking, but they didn't refill. People were saying, they must have run out of food! But for some reason the waiter kept lifting the lids to the egg and bacon to see what was in there, but of course there was nothing as he hadn't refilled it and he was the only waiter!! I was really disappointed and wouldn't recommend it, unless you are getting a really good discount.

KKuishouThe room was very clean, and the facilities were standard for a four or five-star hotel, with a separate shower and toilet. The bed was also quite spacious. The breakfast was reasonably rich, and you could order omelets separately. The hotel is extremely close to the terminal; you can reach it right after exiting. Outside, there's a car rental company parking lot, which is very convenient if you're renting a car because you can park there and avoid paying hotel parking fees. Within a 10-minute walk, there's a commercial complex with restaurants and a supermarket. It's a very convenient place to stay when arriving in Christchurch.
CCitizen of The World - Veni, Vidi, ViciExcellent location. The reception was friendly and helpful. Love the bsthroom that comes with heater, powerful shower, and even have a heated bar to warm the towels and dry your wears if needed. Highly recommended.
JJingshitingqiuruiThe hotel boasts an excellent location. Our windows overlooked Cathedral Square, and the library was just outside on the ground floor. Christchurch is a compact city, and the hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient to get around. Our room was quite spacious. We booked a room with two queen-sized beds (each 1.5 meters wide), and our entire family slept very comfortably.

GGuest UserThe room is clean and tidy, the bedding is new, and the small terrace has a great view. The restaurant facilities are very convenient. The food is very good. I would recommend it to my friends. It is also the first choice for accommodation in winter for skiing.
GGuest UserWhen I arrived I was told I had an upstairs unit. Unfortunately I had a lot of luggage. Changing to a lower level was not possible. But an offer was made to assist me with the luggage.
I drove towards the unit and there is no available parking close by. I drove back to the front desk and explained my problem. They told me that they could move a car to allow me to park. One of the staff followed me back and took care of finding a space and also delivering a cone so that I could hold the space when I went out to dinner. He also came back to help with the luggage. So great staff! But the lack of parking (because they let people leave their cars there when they fly) would make me reconsider staying again.
I’d booked an Economy studio and was given an Economy two bedroom. Unit was a blend of older and newer features. Bathroom was updated but shower stall looked older and not as clean. Good water pressure.
Ordered breakfast at the on-site Restaurant. The waffles with berry compote & lemon curd was a large portion but very tasty. Great coffee.
