I didn’t like the hotel ,, poor room , they gave me a room it look like it’s located in a basement,, a very small room, the bathroom is clean but the toilet didn’t work good , the sink; washbasin was almost close, and many other things I didn’t like. I will not make a reservation again on this hotel.

I stayed at this airport hotel near Sabiha Gökçen for an expensive pric. While the location is convenient and the room was generally clean, there were several operational issues that should be addressed. Upon check-in, the shower pipe in my room was faulty. The staff promptly arranged for a technician, which I appreciate. However, this indicates that rooms may not be thoroughly checked before guest arrival. A simple pre-check process could prevent such inconvenience. There were also no facial tissues provided in either the room or bathroom. This is a very basic amenity that most travelers expect, particularly at this price level. In addition, the hotel does not offer a coin laundry facility. For an airport hotel that likely serves transit guests, this would be a highly practical addition. The staff were responsive when contacted, and I appreciated the availability of slippers in the room. However, improving basic quality control and ensuring essential amenities are consistently provided would significantly enhance the guest experience. I hope this feedback is helpful for future improvements.

Overall, it's pretty good. The location is excellent, right by Taksim Square, making it super convenient for getting around, and there are tons of food options nearby. Plus, they offer free luggage storage, which is a nice perk. The only thing is I couldn't get the AC to work in the room, and I'm not sure why.

The hotel’s location is very strategic, making it convenient for getting around Istanbul. The staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the breakfast is truly excellent with a very good selection. The only downside during my stay was that the room had an unpleasant smell. I stayed in Room 415, and although I tried running hot water in both the sink and the shower, the odor did not go away. I hope the management can address this issue, as it would greatly improve the overall experience and help maintain the hotel’s good reputation.

The hotel is very nice, clean, wide and big room, the reception offered me a free upgrade to a 1+1 room. He was very generous and respectful. Unfortunately I saw him only once and couldn't remember his name. The cost was so good and everything is good. Sometimes i have requested something and the room service took longer than usual made me requested it again, I hope they work on it and improve it. The location itself is good, however there's no near bus station, or metro, as the nearest metro is next to mall of Istanbul and it needed to be reached by taxi. If someone got their own car . Then it will be perfect.

I live in the centre of Istanbul, I just wanted a night in the middle of nowhere to relax and this place is great. Super clean, huge comfy bed, best shower ever, amazing buffet breakfast with huge variety of dishes, spotless spa in the basement with sauna, hamam, steam room and heated pool. Not a sound in the room, I had a great sleep. The receptionists are rude and won't even say Hello but it's Turkey, I expect it. The breakfast staff will take your plate away while you're eating but again, Turkish behaviour. There are cockroaches in the room but not too many and not too big. Would definitely recommend it, great value for money

The overall hotel experience was decent. Despite the name suggesting it's near the airport, it's actually quite a distance away, and the taxi ride takes a while. However, the hotel is relatively close to the high-speed train station, which makes getting around more convenient. The rooms are clean, and the facilities are basic but complete. The front desk staff also provided good service. It's suitable for a short stay.

I really liked this hotel. The room wasn't big, but it was cozy and had all the amenities. It was quite quiet at night. A huge plus is the tram stop right outside the hotel. You can take this tram to all the main attractions in Istanbul without getting stuck in traffic. The hotel staff are very responsive and always try to help with any issues. I'd like to specifically mention the restaurant. Although the breakfasts were the same every day, they were quite varied. Both adults and children found plenty to eat. The restaurant staff were very friendly. Special thanks to Erguvan (very friendly and with a wonderful smile), Dinger, and the Russian-speaking lady (unfortunately, I don't know her name). In the evenings, there are places nearby to go out for dinner, even outside the hotel. There's also a shop nearby. I definitely recommend it.

Room 3219 – Exceptional Comfort The room offered a superb balance of functionality and elegance. It was impeccably clean, featuring plush bedding, perfect lighting for reading or work, and a surprisingly quiet HVAC system, a rarity in city hotels. Small details, like the scent of fresh linen and a spotless bathroom, reinforced the sense of care behind the housekeeping standards. Service & Staff The staff are the heartbeat of this property. Every interaction, from check-in to checkout, reflected professionalism anchored in genuine warmth. They anticipated needs before being asked, making the experience feel personal rather than procedural. This consistency across teams’ front desk, dining, and housekeeping speaks volumes about the culture of service within the hotel. Dining Experience Breakfast was both indulgent and efficient. The buffet selection was diverse, featuring beautifully presented dishes that catered to both international and local palates. The staff handled the morning rush with grace and precision, maintaining quality and attentiveness without any sense of haste. Facilities & Ambience Public areas were spotless and aesthetically cohesive. The fitness and spa areas were well-maintained, creating a serene environment ideal for unwinding after long days in the city. The lounge and lobby were comfortable enough to double as workspaces, a feature that frequent travelers will appreciate. The One Minor Quirk I noticed some early-morning noise, mostly the seagulls, a distant metro vibration, and a faint scratchy sound around 6 a.m. While this didn’t detract from the overall stay, it’s worth noting for lighter sleepers. It’s a subtle reminder that even in the most refined settings, Istanbul’s energy has its own morning rhythm. Final Thoughts What defines the Crowne Plaza Istanbul – Old City isn’t just its luxury—it’s the consistency of experience. Every aspect feels considered and intentional. Having stayed at countless hotels across Europe, the Middle East, and North America, it’s rare to find one that strikes this balance of local charm and international polish. I often recommend property to colleagues who travel as frequently as I do, and this one has already made it to the top of that list. It leaves one wondering: how might the experience differ in another season, on a higher floor, or in one of the suites overlooking the skyline?
