I only spent 1 night here, and I was kinda prepping for a typical sort of crappy motel. Is it a luxury hotel? No, no one is gonna confuse it for that. But the room was comfortable, the wifi worked, the shower was fine, AC worked well and maybe most importantly for an airport hotel, the price was reasonable and there was a shuttle available. I really couldn't have asked for anything more in an airport hotel, frankly every major city should have this as an option and sadly that's just not the case, far too often you're in over $100 for the same room or worse. Of note, I clicked ”yes” an outdoor pool is available, but in reality their pool is totally out of commission. Didn't bother me, and in the upcoming months it won't matter, but if you wanted to take a dip, you can't.

I booked a room here for 4 adults , confirmation received showing full booking and continental breakfast included. On arrival at hotel was advised no breakfast included. I complained and receptionist agreed to contact manager however then said , 'we don't do continental breakfast anymore' so you won't get one. I still voiced my complaint so she agreed to take up with her manager . Later I was told , we don't do breakfast just room service and you can have a credit for 15 dollars. How can anyone get breakfast for 4 for 15dollars !!! The items on room service would mean approx 25dollar each cost I believe more should have been offered as way of an apology but it was an attitude of tough , get on with it . I have sent complaint to hotel so will see if any response Room was okay just a little tired looking

The room and hotel was great. I don’t like that you do have to pay.$20 per day for parking or you will need to use the city parking but you can’t park over night as city parking expires at midnight. The location has no pool but has a nice roof top. Drinks were pretty reasonable. Over all it was nice.
Red Roof Inn Auburn Hills

This place was old but the rooms have been upgraded. Our room was mostly clean with just some corners missed. The updates were basic but nice. We do appreciate the hard floor in place of carpeting. The bed was very comfortable. We especially appreciated the desk, microwave and refrigerator and the many outlets around the room. There was one weird piece of that though. None of the desk power worked unless the overhead light was on. My husband does desk work before i get up and this added many hurdles for him. The staff was very friendly. We had some extra time so stopped to see if we could check in early but they apologized that they couldn't accommodate us because the rooms were not ready. I would much rather wait than have a room that cleaning was rushed to get us in. This hotel enforces a quiet time which again is wonderful for us.. We play music for a living and we fully appreciate a discounted but quiet room stay. The drive to the hotel is a little difficult to follow the first time because the road comes in the back way. It feels a little unsafe BUT we had no issues at all. We will be back.
SpringHill Suites Saginaw

My husband and I take an annual trip.to Frankenmuth, Mich around Christmas time each year. We usually spend a fortune to stay in the town of Frankenmuth. We decided to stay outside of Frankenmuth and found the Springhill Suites in Saginaw, MI, about 20 min. from our destination. We were so pleasantly surprised by tbe accommodations. The suite was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The staff was so helpful and friendly - even after locking ourselves out of our room twice. They were attentive and even offered restraunt suggestions. Tbe breakfast offered a great selection - sausage, rggs, waffles, juice, cereal, pastries etc. In addition, the hotel overall abd lobby was clean and very pretty. The only issue, which is minimal, was the pool size. It was a bit small. However, the hot tub was large and very relaxing. The price we paid for a 2 night stay in a beautiful suite at the Springhill Suites in Saginaw would not have covered one night in a standard hotel room in the town of Frankenmuth. I will look for this particular hotel during our future travels. They did everything right.

Great hot breakfast bar every day. If it wasn't for the rest of the staff i came in contact with, I would have never went back after last stay. The manager on duty, Terri Schaffer, on my last long stay was VERY VERY RUDE AND NASTY from day 2 until my stay was over. She acted like I interrupted her call to her friend, wasn't a business call on her own phone and the conversation wasn't about any type of hotel info. Then she acted like she was doing me a favor by being there. Then proceeded to tell me i better get my totes out of the hall they were afire hazzard!!! If she would have went and looked she would have seen there were NO totes in the hallway or any other place that would have been a hazard to anyone. Because i stood up for myself she started threatening to call 911. Really I should be calling them on her. I looked through other reviews and found quiet a few more complaints about the same person treating them in the same sorta way. I sent an email to the general manager and made calls and never heard back from anyone AND she's still here...ugh!!
Comfort Suites

We were in Escanaba for one night on our way as part of a multi-week road trip. We had originally planned to stay in an Air BnB but the owner sold the building, so we scrambled to find somewhere else. The Comfort Suites had a room and met our general hotel criteria. The parking area is pretty big so there are plenty of places to park. The front desk clerk was really nice and helpful in getting us checked in and also familiarized with Escanaba and nearby restaurants. She also answered our questions about the swarms of bugs that were flying around by the lake. The room was on the 2nd floor and was clean and comfortable. The ice machine didn't work on the 2nd floor and the one on the 3rd floor wasn't even there, so we had to go to the first floor. The breakfast area was set up where it was easy to get to the food rather than having it all jammed up. The attendant(s) kept everything stocked and neatened up.
The Daxton
4.5/5103 Reviews
The Daxton is a great hotel it’s pretty consistent every time I stay. I rate cleanliness a 3 because my experience has been hit and miss. The first and second time I stayed the cleanliness was on point. The third time I stayed they put me in a room that just wasn’t very clean they apologized, moved me immediately and upgraded my room that was nice. The last time I stayed whoever cleaned my bathroom had shedding hair or something and there were long strands of hair that were not my own in the shower and on my towel. That wasn’t cool but it happens. The amenities are great they have a complimentary snack area in each floor with coffee, tea, beverages and little pastries and snacks which is an excellent extra and overall the service is great. The area around the hotel is very walkable there is great shopping and food options there’s even a nice park nearby. The Daxton has become my go to hotel when visiting MI and I come up quite a bit.
