The Hotel overall is really great. The room was nice and spacious, however they didn’t clean our room properly everyday. When they came to clean, they only made the bed, didn’t change the sheets and didn’t sweep the floor. They forgot to replace the towels. They took the old towels , but didn’t leave clean ones. We has to ask for sheet changing after the 3rd day and for them to sweep and mop. Because it got sandy of all the sea sand. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly overall in the breakfast hall. I just feel for this time of year (During TET holiday) the hotel was VERY BUSY and under staffed. So therefore the overall experience could have been better if they had more staff during this time. The pool and private beach was really nice and we enjoyed that very much.

This hotel is beautiful, right on the beach, great layout with lots of space around the pool. I never struggled to find a spot. Having a better understanding of the geography, it’s important to note that this hotel is a little out of the main town so it’s a little bit more secluded. Staff were very nice. My only issue was at breakfast, as no one comes to greet you or assist you in finding a table, it can be a bit chaotic.

After being stuck at home for the past 3 years and watching replays of Getaway, we finally got out of Australia and arrived in Phu Quoc. Stepping out of the taxi we were warmly greeted by the concierge staff with the traditional 'Xin Chao' as they escorted us into the beautiful Movenpick Resort foyer. Immediately my wife and I felt relaxed. This was what we had missed during COVID, escaping our busy lives and enjoying such beautiful resorts. Check-in was seamless and we were in our room in no time. I had an issue with our room and spoke to Linh at reception who was so nice and professional, and quickly resolved the situation. And in a flash we were by gorgeous pool and enjoying tropical cocktails. We spent the next 3 days laying around the pool, in the sun loungers looking out into the ocean, taking naps in the hammocks between the palm trees and enjoying the ocean breeze as we watched the sunsets. The Spa was amazing and one of the best we've experienced. The pre-spa sauna, stream room and spa baths was sooo relaxing. Breakfast was a feast to the eyes with delicious authentic Vietnamese food and a great international selection. The afternoons were spent devouring all sorts of enticing desserts during Chocolate Hour (and all for free, what a bonus!) We loved spending our evenings at Aura Beach Club as Vu was so helpful and attentive. He even got the whole team to sing Happy Birthday to me which was such a pleasant surprise. When we returned to our room, Linh and the reception team had organised a birthday cake and some gifts from the Resort. So sweet! It's things like this that make our holidays even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed Movenpick Resort Phu Quoc and the wonderful staff that made it so special. We will be back! and will bring all our families and friends :)

I've also enjoyed activity programs like yoga class with kindly teacher (for free of charge!). Thank you for giving me wonderful time ever!
Sunset Beach Resort and Spa

Long Beach
Sadly I would not feel happy to recommend Sunset Beach. I was extremely excited about our up coming trip and so looking forward to it after a month of travelling around Vietnam. It did not live up to my expectations in the slightest. The good points, room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom and the hotel is in a great location for capturing the sunset. Other than that everything else was extremely disappointing. The breakfast was chaotic, I have never been to a hotel where I have had to share a table with other residents. But there are not enough tables. Same applies for the sun beds around the pool and on the beach, also towels. Not enough to service 117 rooms. Sunset beach do not offer the option of charging to your room so you have to carry cash or a card with you all the time. We were also made to settle each round after they were delivered and could not run up a tab. Bar staff were incredibly slow at delivering drinks and orders were forgotten or wrong. Whilst our room had a sea view it was somewhat marred by the view of the roof of the restaurant. The fireshow that was put on as entertainment was extremely concerning as audience members were encouraged to take part at spitting methylated spirit out. I also witnessed a near accident when one of the performers tripped over a hose that hadn’t been buried deeply enough in the sand. All in all our stay wasn’t the experience we had hoped for and we would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. What I would like to recommend is the beach restaurant next door. The food is delicious and half the price.

We are here now and I have read some of the poor reviews. I don't understand them. Rooms are great, pool is clean, tiled and grouped. Staff are so helpfull and friendly. Rooms are cleaned every day, bathrooms clean and showers are top notch compared to some we have stayed in to get here. Absolute value for money with picturesque views and all amenities you could need. The walk to the main street is a bit of a walk but not a hike. Take my word for it and don't take any notice of the bad reviews. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY. Only comment is breakfast could be a bit better, but not worth not booking because of it.
Hanz Sofia Hotel Grand World

I had a conflict with this hotel, I didn’t stay there and my money was not refunded. When I tried to report this to trip.com service team and they contacted the manager, the manager made up some details of our conflict, lied to trip.com that I “shouted loudly and scolded the staff”, which is absolute nonsense. The thing is the receptionist who is the only staff member left the hotel, while i was waiting for him to give me motorbike for rent, which has been agreed before. He didn’t say a word to me, he just disappeared. Later , when I contacted the hotel by number from their business card, the other person has told me, that the receptionist is her husband and he went to another hotel to help other guests check in. They have several hotels and don’t have staff, so the receptionist guy does shuttle runs between hotels. Just for the note, the description of the hotel says 24 hours front desk. Empty front desk. The biggest problem is that the manager, the wife of the receptionist, has told trip.com that I was being impolite, because I made my decision to not stay at the hotel, where I would constantly need to wait for the service (due to their problems of staff shortage). And she lied, said I was yelling at staff. Which staff, I don’t know. The guy, who btw doesn’t even speak English, was not there. How could I yell to anyone, if I was all alone at the lobby waiting for the receptionist. And when I realized, this hotel is not where I would be comfortable, I cancelled the booking and I told the manager that I did so. And left the key. I wouldn’t think I won’t be able to get my money back. The manager is a liar. And they didn’t give me refund.
Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc

We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc for two nights. And I must say, it was the best decision we made for staying there. Truly a luxurious five star property with all the amenities one could possibly ask for. Located on the extreme Northwest of the island of Phu Quoc, this resort gives you access to one of the most pristine and beautiful private beaches. We stayed in an Standard King Size bedroom with sea view. The room was incredibly amazing with super awesome sea view. The photos attached with this review can only make 50% of what one can see with his own eyes. A special mention for the excellent sauna bath which I enjoyed the most. The hotel is very well managed and the staff was extremely courteous and professional. However, a couple of things which I think that as a five star property the hotel needs to work upon: (a) They must provide adequate drink g water bottles in the rooms. They just gave two 500ml bottles per day which is very less for two persons. Drinking water is something that shouldn't be quantified. The tap water was jot drinkable hence it became obligatory to purchase water from outside. This I don't think happens anywhere else in such type of property elseqhe. (b) In their magnanimous breakfast spread, there were extremely less vegetarian options. One had simply to rely on steamed rice and some boiled potatoes apart from the bakery items. This as a five star hotel the management must rework and add more vegetarian options. In the end, I would always love to come back and stay here. I would also recommend this property to all kinds of travellers for coming down to experience luxury in a different way.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this resort. Everything was top-notch, from the impeccable service to the beautiful accommodations. All the front desk staff and buggy staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The rooms were luxurious and well-maintained. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Being totally beach people , I and my husband like to visit many islands and beach places . After Maldives ,Thailand ,Malaysia ,Andaman ,Sri Lanka , Goa and Kerala we ended up in Phu quock Vietnam . We did last minute bookings and hadn’t researched much about where to stay etc but luckily we stumbled upon this hotel . The room had such an amazing view of the ocean , that we didn’t feel like going out to do any activities for an entire day . You can just sit and relax in the room and watch the sunset while rolling in your bed . And the Bath tub experience was just amazing too with such a great view and effective bathing salts and sipping away on cooling drinks . We could feel paecful from within If you want to unwind and just take a break from your busy life it’s perfect The hotel is also located in the main area of the island from where all the day activity pick ups happen . Very close to the night market walkable distance . It’s equidistant from the north and south of the island where you may like to visit . The staff were very friendly and ready to help in any way be it booking our diving tour , arranging for a bike ,money exchange or arranging for pure veg food which isn’t easily available in Vietnam . Only draw back would be that it doesn’t have direct access to a Sandy beach but the views more than compensate for this But long beach is very close by . All in all a very good experience
