Beach Hotels in Johor, Malaysia

We recently stayed for two nights at the Country Garden Seaview Suite by Nest Home. While the unit was clean and neat, there were several issues that affected our comfort: - The water heater was not working, which made showering inconvenient. - The sofa and cushions were wet upon arrival. Although a cleaner came and attempted to dry them with a hairdryer for about 10 minutes, the sofa remained soggy and had an unpleasant smell. - The room’s location facing a busy traffic junction made it difficult to rest. Noise from ambulances, car horns, and traffic persisted throughout the night, resulting in poor sleep quality. On a positive note, the room itself was tidy and well-maintained, which we appreciated. However, the combination of maintenance issues and noise disturbance significantly impacted the overall experience. We hope these concerns can be addressed to improve future guest stays.

My husband and I had a pleasant stay here! We were warmly greeted by receptionist Aini if I’m not mistaken. We were extremely grateful when she gave is the early check in and birthday cake specially for my husband’s birthday. The room was extremely comfortable and the facilities provided by the hotel was amazing. To top it all off, the breakfast spread was too good to be true haha. The concept of having the infused and sugar syrup intrigued me!

I didn’t managed to take much photos however the stay was not too great. The location is near the highway and it’s pretty noisy in the middle of the night. We didn’t really had a good sleep. The toilet door handle was faulty. The hair shampoo and body soap made our skin itchy, it felt like hand soap. There wasn’t any local channels to watch, only from streaming platforms. The bed was sunk in and the pillows were too soft. The bedsheets also had some old stains. The customer service was very responsive and helpful so that’s okay. I wouldn’t really recommend staying in this room. Maybe higher floors are better.

The room that I had was quite good as some renovations and painting had been to room particularly the toilet area. The complain I hsve there is no face and hand towel in the toilet. All duty free stores in tbe complec had been closed and no place to biy duty free alcohol

Place was nice in that the sights are beautiful. Refer to pics Checkin was also pretty seamless. Do read all instructions carefully though. The upkeep of the place is however not so good. One of the rooms aircon was leaking, bedsheet & towels were not too clean. Saving grace is that the administrator is very very nice and patient. He also provided new disposable towels and allowed late late checkout.

This hotel is within walking distance of Legoland, a shopping mall, and Gleneagles Hospital. The staff were very friendly, and the facilities were well-maintained. It was a good stay overall; the bed was very comfortable.

The 3-bedroom is an exclusive unit, well equipped with microwave, big fridge, cooking utensils, good WiFi and huge TV. We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment as the check in process was seamless and the host is very friendly and attentive. The location is very ideal and there are numerous restaurants nearby. She has prepared the apartment with great care and we would love to return to this apartment as and when we are in Johor Bahru.

Location was good n da sea view super nice ,da cleaning can be more better cos da flooring feel Abit sticky n a lot of ants ,n also da room without cabinet to hang our clothing 😅 , easy to check in n da office counter girls are friendly 🤗

We went to Tunamaya with a very low expectation considering more negatives than positives reviews by others. Our check in process were seamless & fast. We took the family room with queen and single bed just nice for a small family Room were clean to our surprise, just that the bathroom sink looked worn out with many years of usage and a leaking aircond which they fix it promptly. Breakfast was decent, enough food for everyone We have no other complaints given the cleanliness of room, a beach front room view and a private beach. We also love the seafood at Desaru Corner which we ate dinner all the time for 3 days - just 9 minutes away by car Of course, we have to go home with Baby Kai! As a souvenir for my little one on our memories in Tunamaya

I booked this hotel because I wanted a place with a private beach to enjoy the sea, and I read many previous reviews. Everything was great; the room was clean and bright, just as I wanted, facing the ocean. I spent a long time sitting on the terrace at night; it was so relaxing. However, I have to complain about the lack of hot water for showering—it really scared me! The gym equipment was also quite old, with only the treadmill being usable. But running by the sea was truly a fantastic experience. Breakfast was plentiful, almost too much, and the staff didn't warn us (my partner and I ordered too much and wasted food). The staff should improve on this and give kind reminders. The location is a bit remote, so for dinner, we bought food from outside and ate it on the terrace. That was actually a different kind of experience (the hotel does offer food order service, but we didn't try it). If you have a car, it's fine. The small swimming pool was also beautiful, and the water was clean.
