Following a hiccup during check-in, the experience at this hotel was positive. The manager provided excellent service and the room was quiet, with a nice view. Location is excellent (next to the walking street and a large mall, with great dining options). The breakfast is Chinese, and could benefit from a couple of choices appropriate for foreign guests.

We loved our stay at Huanghan Lotus. The staff are all very friendly and sweet, and communicative through chat apps even though we do not speak Mandarin. They helped us plan our route up and around the mountain, arranged a taxi for our return, and let us leave our bags here while we travelled up the mountain for a night. When we returned to pick up our bags, we decided to get a massage at the spa and they gave us both half an hour extra. About the room — we were upgraded and the room is gorgeous, beautiful wood and a very comfortable bed and shower etc. The hot spring is also very comfortable, the perfect way to unwind. We will definitely choose this hotel the next time we visit. Highly recommend!

Excellent! This is the best option to stay in the Huangshan area to visit the mountains and surroundings. This boutique hotel is located extremely quietly in the middle of the bamboo forests and tea plantations away from the bustle and hustle, busy streets, people and noisy restaurants- exactly what we needed after a day on the mountain. At the same time it’s only 5-10 minutes away from the South entrance gate, which the hotel will shuttle you to whenever you need. Overall the service and the owners are so so great and helpful with everything. The hotel overall and the rooms are so tastefully designed, high quality, 1000% clean and everything is tidied up (no messy piles anywhere - unlike in other boutique hotels in China). You can conveniently get dinner in the hotel, the seating area is beautiful, quiet, designed perfectly and the food was delicious. Breakfast is Chinese breakfast but they are so sweet and offer cereals and toast if you like, however, i brought some other options for my parents which they kindly kept in the fridge. They also took us to their own tea mountain to watch the sunset and Huangshan Mountain from afar - very special!!! Highly recommend that! The other hiking recommendations (besides than going up Huangshan) were a great addition. I recommend a three night stay, that’s just perfect. Everything is even nicer than on the pictures, a pleasant and unusual surprise!! You will not regret to choose this hotel, i stayed in other hotels in Huangshan before and this is the best option with regards to location (!!), design and service.

The hotel is located near the entrance of the scenic area on Jiuhua Mountain and very close to the departure point of the tourist buses for various scenic areas. It is very convenient for travel and dining. The hotel is clean and tidy, the rooms are warm and quiet, the staff are enthusiastic and polite, and the breakfast is relatively rich. It left our family with an unforgettable journey memory. At the time of parting, the hotel specially sent souvenirs, which the children liked very much and were very grateful for the hotel's meticulous and thoughtful service.

It was my first time to come to Jiuhua Mountain and I chose to stay at Dongya Hotel. The location of the hotel is better and it is also the most expensive one on the mountain. The facilities are okay. The room has a slight smell of smoke and is clean and tidy. Maybe if there is more privacy between the sink and the bedroom It would be friendlier. You can see the mountain view in the distance outside the window. The slight drawback is that for rooms on the fifth floor, you need to take the elevator to the fourth floor and then walk one floor to the fifth floor. This is not very convenient, especially after climbing the mountain. When we checked out, we saw that we had a lot of luggage, so he took the initiative to help us with our luggage. He is a kind-hearted person and deserves praise!
