We had an easy pick up experience at the Zagreb Airport - there is Nova Rent a Car booth right when you exit customs where you sign the rental contract and pay the cross border fee (we were driving into Slovenia) before heading to ankther booth 2mins walk located on the edge of a separate carpark for renral cars to collect the keys, check rhe conditions then drive off. We managed to squeeze 5 adults into the Kia Sportage 1.6AT together with 3 large luggages plus 2 small backpacks. The car was very clean and in good condition, performed very well throughout our journey through the Slovenia mountains down to Istria in Croatia then across to Dubrovnik before returning back to Zagreb.

After receiving the key at the counter in Zagreb, you are to pick up the car and key at the parking lot. However, since there is only one person guiding you, you may be confused about whether you are picking it up there if no one is present upon arrival. Returning the car in Dubrovnik was easy. The condition of the vehicle was good. However, the fuel tank was not full, so there was the inconvenience of having to calculate the cost carefully when returning the car. This is because you will not receive a refund for refueling more than the stated amount.

The staff were friendly and prompt when I picked up the car. It was quite different from rental car offices in the UK or other parts of Europe, so I really liked it. I paid a 700 Euro deposit, and usually, deposits like that aren't processed until long after the car is returned. However, the credit card company processed the no-payment the very next day. Croatian people seem incredibly cool. The price was cheap: 190,000 KRW for 10 days, and it was an automatic transmission vehicle. Isn't that an absolute bargain? I would like to thank Trip.com for the benefit of renting a car connected to my flight.
