The Tomitsu Citizens' Fireworks Festival was established in 2015 (Heisei 27) with the concept of "holding a fireworks display created through citizen participation." 2026 marks the 11th edition of the festival. Like the pioneers who launched the Tomitsu Fireworks Festival 60 years ago with their dreams, this year's festival focuses on "promoting the construction of the Tokyo Bay entrance road," striving to be a grand event expressing the dreams and hopes of the region and its citizens. The festival is held on Tomitsu Beach, showcasing a spectacular display of fireworks, including underwater fireworks and a sound and light show. In 2026, 2,000 fireworks will be launched, including fireworks, laser beams, sound effects, land and sea sparklers, underwater fireworks, and fireworks up to 1 foot (approximately 30 centimeters) in diameter. The fireworks are reflected on the sea surface, creating an even more magnificent spectacle.

The Water Village Omi River Fireworks Festival held in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, is one of the oldest traditional summer events in the Kanto region and has been famous as a major event since 1908 (Meiji 41). The stage for the event is the majestic Tone River, and its charm lies in the energetic performance that makes full use of the vast river surface. The fireworks that light up the night sky are divided into four chapters, and starbursts with different themes are set off one after another. In particular, the super-large starburst that makes full use of the open space of the Tone River has an overwhelming impact that seems to cover the entire area, making the audience mesmerized.

The Chiba Fireworks Festival is a beloved summer tradition in Chiba City. This year, to commemorate the 900th anniversary of Chiba's founding, the festival will feature spectacular fireworks displays over Makuhari Beach in Chiba City, showcasing traditional large-scale fireworks, the latest creative fireworks, and musical performances, creating one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the Tokyo metropolitan area. This year's event, for the first time in its history, will feature approximately 24,000 fireworks, making it one of the largest fireworks displays in Japan, themed "Chiba City 900th Anniversary: Fireworks Illuminating the Future ~Love and Peace~". To commemorate the 900th anniversary of Chiba Castle's founding, the event will feature approximately 100 large-scale fireworks, including 10-inch diameter fireworks and other fireworks exceeding 5 inches in diameter, as well as approximately 900 fireworks over the sea. Creative fireworks themed around the Chiba clan emblem (such as the moon and stars) and the number "900" will also be displayed, accompanied by musical performances.

The Ichikawa Summer Fireworks Festival, jointly organized by Ichikawa City and Edogawa Ward, was held along the Edogawa River. Approximately 14,000 fireworks were launched, making it one of the most popular fireworks displays in Tokyo. The program was diverse, including synchronized music and fireworks, as well as creative elements such as heart-shaped and butterfly-shaped fireworks. In the opening five seconds, 1,000 fireworks simultaneously rose from 10 locations, dazzling the night sky. This spectacular opening perfectly complemented the festival's opening ceremony.
