Join the SVBC Basic Bike Repair workshop at Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition in San Jose, CA. This in-person workshop will teach participants the ABCs of Basic Bike Repair: Air, Brakes, and Chain/Cassette. Learn how to fix a flat, properly inflate your tires, and remove wheels. Diagnose and make adjustments to your brakes. Gain the skills to ensure your chain moves smoothly and quietly across the cassette and chainrings. Additional topics may be covered as time permits. This hands-on, skill-building workshop is open to ages 14 and up. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bike to work on. We kindly ask that you bring no more than one bike per participant. Motor vehicle parking is available in the parking lot behind our facility. Bicycle instruction and parking are located in our outside fenced courtyard behind the building, weather permitting. In case of rain, instruction will be held inside. Please enter through our back gate. This class is funded by the 2016 Measure B from VTA and is provided to the public for free.
