Sea Glass Jewellery Workshop – Bezel Setting | The Sea Glass Studio, Jubilee Wharf
Cultural Experiences
Make your own Sea Glass Jewellery using Bezel Setting techniques. Suitable for beginners.
Voted No.1 of fun things to do in Penryn!
Sea Glass Jewellery Workshop - Bezel Setting with a BONUS Stacking Ring
No experience neccesary - Suitable for total beginners :)
The process:
During this full day workshop, you will learn how to correctly measure, cut, file, solder, and finish your own pieces.
To start with, we will practice techniques and explore design options by making a
stacking ring
to really understand the jewellery making basics, before progressing onto your final sea glass design. All projects will be made using 100% recycled sterling silver.
Alongside your stacking ring, you can choose to make either a
sea glass pendant
or
sea glass ring
. You may upgrade your design to a bangle for an extra fee to cover materials.
All materials and tools will be provided. At the end of the day, you will take home your very own handcrafted one-of-a-kind pendant or ring – as well as a stacking ring and an organic cotton pouch.
Bezel setting
is the technique of encasing Sea Glass around the back and sides of the Sea Glass piece and folding in the edges to keep it safe and secure.
You are more than welcome to bring your own sea glass, however I do have a vast array of shapes and colours to choose from should you wish to use some of mine. If you are going to bring your own sea glass treasures, please bring make sure they are fully rounded & even in height. No higher than 4mm.

"What an incredible day! My sister and I were lucky enough to take part in one of Sadie courses. Sadie was such a wonderful host and instantly made us feel at home in her studio. It is such a beautiful, calm space, perfect for an afternoon of crafting away and chatting to the other lovely people on the course. I was so happy with the final product and I cannot recommend the course enough. Thank you so much Sadie!"
Meet Rip!
This good boy will greet and welcome you into ‘The sea glass studio’ upon arrival..
He loves cuddles (of course) and big long snooooozes on his window perch in the sunshine. Whilst we’re busy making away, Rip enjoys hanging out the window watching the birds on the river…
Fun fact, he is named after my favourite cowboy in Yellowstone 🤠
Please
let
me know if
you're not
comfortable / allergic to
dogs and
I will arrange day care for him :)

Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult who is also attending the workshop.
Sensible, closed shoes required and no loose clothing: things can get a little messy in a jewellery making environment and whilst apron’s are provided, it’s worth bearing in mind not to wear your very best clothes!
As this course is a full day, please bring your own packed lunch. Alternatively, if you’d like to treat yourself… Muddy Beach Cafe, Sunshine Studio Cafe and Baileys Country Store are all close by with fantastic lunch options!
