Summer Hockey Camp at Ted Reeve Arena offers separate programs for girls and boys at the beginner and intermediate levels, catering to ages 5-14. The camp is designed with a focus on developing hockey skills for both genders, providing specialized goalie instruction as well. Participants can expect three hours of daily ice time, which includes a 45-minute power skating component, as well as puck skills and mini scrimmages. This week, there is a separate program for girls and boys, with the girls being divided into beginner and intermediate groups, each with three hours of daily ice time. The boys are divided into junior (5-8 years) and senior (9-14 years) groups, also receiving three hours of daily ice time. Additional supervision is available from 4:15-5:15 p.m. for those who require it. Full hockey equipment is required, and participants should also bring clothing for outdoor and indoor gym activities, including a hat and sunscreen. Snacks, lunch, and fluids should be brought from home, although a free pizza lunch is provided on Fridays. The camp operates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with various pickup times and assistance available for changing and tying skates. Families are responsible for providing snacks, fluids, and lunch.
