Join Arivva for their upcoming Family Ceramics Class - Christmas Ornaments, taking place on November 21, 2023, at the venue located at 402 Garfield St S, Parkland, WA 98444. This ceramics studio class is open to all ages, with a special focus on creating small, colorful Christmas ornaments. Under the guidance of teaching artist Delaney Hills, participants will learn various techniques for working with clay, such as hand-building, pinch pots, coil building, and sculpting. Whether you are a beginner or have previous experience, this class welcomes both new and returning students. Each student will receive 2 pounds of clay and basic tools to complete multiple creative projects. The course instruction will also cover glazing and firing of any projects. Please note that students aged 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult, who can purchase a ticket for $25 at the same time as registering the youth. For the safety of all attendees, Arivva kindly requests that everyone follows Covid regulations by washing or sanitizing their hands prior to class or pickup. ALL AGES WELCOME. STUDENTS 10 YRS AND UNDER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT (adult tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the same time youth are registered). Adults MUST purchase a ticket to accompany their youth. In this Winter 2024 Ceramics Studio course, teaching artist Delaney Hills will focus on creating pumpkins. Learn how to work with clay by hand. Master the tools to create beautiful clay forms. Create pinch pots, learn coil building and sculpting. Experiment with the infinite world of hand building and its artistic possibilities. For new and returning students. Arivva’s youth art classes are offered at no cost. THIS CLASS TAKES PLACE THURSDAY OCT 17TH. New and returning students are welcome—join us regardless of your skill level! Each student will recieve 2 pounds of clay and basic tools to complete several creative projects.
