Youth Ice Skating is the perfect activity for middle and high school students seeking some winter break fun. On December 19th, come join us at the prestigious Sno-King Ice Arena in Snoqualmie. From 3 PM to 4:30 PM, students can enjoy the exhilarating experience of ice skating at absolutely no cost. Skates will be provided, ensuring everyone can participate. In order to skate, a waiver form must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please note that this event is exclusively for youth, providing them with a safe and supervised environment for peer-to-peer interaction. Parents are kindly advised to drop off their children, allowing them to engage with other young individuals under the careful supervision of Empower Youth Network employees. Join SheJumps and Alpine Ascents International for the SheJumps x Alpine Ascents International AIARE 1 Course in Snoqualmie Pass, WA. This comprehensive course is designed to provide participants with the necessary decision-making tools for mitigating risk while traveling in avalanche terrain. Whether you enjoy skiing, split-boarding, snowshoeing, climbing, or mountaineering, this course is suitable for all individuals recreating on snow in the mountains. The AIARE Level 1 Course consists of a flexible online curriculum, followed by two field sessions in the backcountry. The online education portion allows students to learn at their own pace, and it typically takes 4-6 hours to complete. Additionally, there will be a 2-hour Zoom meeting with instructors to go over additional education topics and answer any questions. During the field sessions, students will gain hands-on experience making decisions in avalanche terrain and review avalanche rescue skills. With a student-instructor ratio of six-to-one, participants can expect maximum support and learning opportunities. To ensure a seamless registration process, please visit the Alpine Ascents website to complete your registration. Be sure to indicate "SheJumps Ski Touring Skills" in the Notes for Program Staff section when registering. The course fee is $575 and includes the required Zoom meeting. Please note that guide gratuities are not included in the course cost, but it is highly recommended to tip the guides 10-15% of the course fee. Join SheJumps and Alpine Ascents International for the SheJumps x AAI Intro to Backcountry Touring Course at Snoqualmie Pass in Snoqualmie, WA. This two-day course, offered in partnership between SheJumps and Alpine Ascents, is designed to provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to safely navigate the backcountry while maximizing the fun factor. Led by AAI's world-class guide staff and local experts, this course will cover a range of topics including efficient uphill skinning, tour planning, avalanche hazard assessment, and backcountry skiing techniques. With a low guide-to-student ratio, participants will have ample time to practice and apply these skills in a hands-on setting. The course will also focus on the importance of backcountry safety and self-care, teaching participants how to stay warm and dry in challenging winter conditions. By the end of the course, participants will have the confidence and expertise needed to plan and execute their own backcountry adventures. Please note that registration for this course must be completed through the Alpine Ascents website. The course fee is $600 and does not include guide gratuities, which are highly recommended at 10-15% of the course cost. Experience the thrill of the trail at the Trek Raging River Trail Day event in Snoqualmie. Discover how you can show your support for the local trail system by joining in on the demo day at Rattlesnake Mountain Trail Parking Lot. Test out a variety of Trek demo bikes, including electric, hardtail, and full suspension models, as you conquer the diverse trails at Raging River. Explore at your own pace and level of intensity while learning more about getting involved in maintaining and backing our community's trail network. Remember to bring along a helmet, ID, and credit card for the free demo event. Please note that the final group of demo riders will depart at 2pm. 2023 Fall Series Cup Rd. 3 | Mt. Si | Mount Si Golf Course

The 2023 Fall Series Cup Rd. 3 is scheduled to take place at Mount Si Golf Course in Snoqualmie on October 28th. This prestigious event will feature top golfers from around the region, including defending champion Larry Foster. The tournament will follow a stroke play format with individual players competing for the lowest score. The tees will be set at the White level, and the rules will adhere to the USGA standards, including a lift-clean policy with a 6-inch limit. Participants are required to check in between 9:30 am and 10:15 am, and the first tee-off time will be at 10:45 am. The green fee for the event is $65 plus tax for those walking, and carts are available for $18 for those who prefer to ride. A driving range will also be accessible for a fee of $7. Additionally, there is an entry fee of $25, payable to Tony Moore, the event organizer. It is kindly requested that participants bring small bills if possible. Please note that music is not allowed during the tournament. This promises to be an exciting and competitive event, showcasing the talent of the top golfers in the area. This exciting winter break activity is exclusively for middle and high school students. From 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., students can enjoy skating on the ice, completely free of charge. It's the perfect way to have fun and make the most of your vacation! Don't forget to wear your favorite Christmas sweater and bring your enthusiasm for ice skating. Skates will be provided, so you don't need to worry about bringing your own. However, before hitting the ice, parents or guardians must sign a waiver form to ensure their child's safety. Parents are encouraged to let their children participate in this event, as it provides a safe space for them to interact with their peers under the supervision of Empower Youth Network employees.
