A Mixed Arts Festival | Houston
Celebration
The Midtown Center for the Arts and Theatre (MATCH) in Houston has announced the upcoming third annual Mix-MATCH Festival, a one-day celebration of Houston's vibrant and creative community. The event will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at MATCH. A diverse array of local performances, installations, and exhibitions will showcase the depth and diversity of Houston's cultural landscape. This year's festival is particularly significant as MATCH celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking its achievements in creative expression, connection, and community building. Since its inception, MATCH has hosted thousands of performances, with its core mission remaining unchanged: to make art more accessible to everyone and to foster opportunities for discovery and exchange. This year, after peer review, more than 70 entries were evaluated, and 23 performances and art installations were ultimately selected, covering theater, dance, film, music, poetry readings, sketch comedy, poetry, burlesque, circus arts, roller skating, performance art, and visual arts—all presented in a single day.
