Published by ACA PUBLIC, an initiative of Askeaton Contemporary Arts in County Limerick, 'Things Left Undone' is a thought-provoking publication designed in partnership with Daly & Lyon. Jes Fernie, a respected UK-based independent curator, writer, and lecturer, explores the social, political, and environmental context in which art is created, situated, and viewed. In addition to her latest publication, she launched the Archive of Destruction in 2021, a research project that delves into narratives around public sculpture destroyed by various emotions and motivations.
Sean Lynch, co-editor of ACA PUBLIC, joins Jes Fernie for this conversation. Come join the inaugural Dublin Cold Water 1km event at the historic Clontarf Baths in Dublin. This exciting event is perfect for both experienced cold water swimmers and beginners who regularly swim the 1km distance. To ensure safety and fair competition, participants will need to provide evidence of their cold water training and complete a medical assessment.
Brave the cool waters and challenge yourself in this fun and invigorating swim. The temperature will be whatever nature decides, but we're hoping for a sub-5°C reading to set an international standard. The swim consists of 40 lengths of the 40-metre pool at Clontarf Baths, and swimmers will be carefully monitored throughout for their safety.
Participants have the option to swim in approved togs with a single hat and goggles, or in wetsuits (a special category is available for wetsuits). The swim will be completed within a fixed time limit, ensuring a fair and controlled competition.
Certificates will be awarded to those who successfully complete the swim, and we recommend having a second person available to assist with dressing and recovery. Places are limited, so be sure to secure your entry early.

After the final whistle, the buses will depart from the same location, 40 minutes later, ensuring a timely return. To secure a seat on the bus, supporters are required to prepay in advance and bring their match ticket for bus access. Please note that a strict no-alcohol policy is in place during the journey.
