In addition to exploring the art of paper tearing/cutting, the workshop will also introduce the basic methods involved in the screen printing process. Participants will have the chance to use the paper stencils they create as a screen printing blockout, allowing them to compose and produce their own two-color screen prints. These prints can then be used to decorate their homes in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
An Gee Chan, a talented artist with a diverse practice, will lead the workshop. Having obtained an M.A. in Fine Art Printmaking from the Royal College of Art and a B.A. in Illustration and Animation from Kingston University, Chan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the workshop.
