The Alex George Scholarship Fundraiser is an event that aims to directly benefit the ALEX GEORGE SCHOLARSHIP. Except for the School Athletic Event, all proceeds from this event will go towards the scholarship. The main competition of the fundraiser is called LINDA10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Participants will compete in a timed challenge involving a Deadlift, Bench Press, and Clean. Additionally, there will be a School Athletic Event where participants have the opportunity to obtain sponsors. During this event, participants will aim to complete as many cleans as possible within one minute at 3/4 of their bodyweight. Sponsors can pledge to donate a specific amount per rep, for example, $1.00 per clean completed. If a participant completes 20 reps, their sponsor would donate $20.00. The funds raised during this event can either be donated to the scholarship or the participant's home school athletic department. In addition to the competition, there will be various activities such as raffles, a rummage sale, and the opportunity to purchase food, drinks, t-shirts, and hats.
