Join the Festive Introduction to Fused Glass workshop at Arthouse in South Brent. This half-day workshop is the perfect escape from the Christmas crowds, offering a relaxing and enjoyable experience for adults and ages 12+. Immerse yourself in the beautiful craft of fused glass and create your own selection of Christmas decorations or a larger panel.
Under the guidance of Annette, you will learn the art of cutting glass and have the opportunity to design and make your own unique decorations. Choose from a variety of festive designs such as snowmen, robins, stars, Christmas trees, and mistletoe. Each student will create approximately 6 to 8 decorations, which can be cherished for years to come or given as thoughtful gifts. If Christmas isn't your thing, feel free to explore different themed pieces.
Even if you don't consider yourself creative, fused glass is a forgiving medium that allows beginners to achieve fantastic results. Annette will provide examples, templates, and ideas to inspire your creativity. The design and color possibilities are endless, ensuring that your decorations will be beautiful and one-of-a-kind.
Your decorations will be fired in a specialist glass kiln by Annette after the workshop and can be collected or posted to you. The workshop will take place at Arthouse, conveniently located in the South Brent Old School Community Centre. Free parking is available in South Brent.
