You’ll learn about balance and weight distribution and how that affects your ability to ride your bike safely and confidently. We’ll learn skills like riding with no hands, emergency stops, and how to look behind you while holding your line, how to steer, and counter-steer. Nature for All - A bird watching event for folks with mobility challenges The Rivanna Master Naturalists, who love getting out in nature, would like to provide events that make nature accessible and safe for all regardless of mobility, hearing, seeing, or any other challenges. If you feel hesitant or concerned about your own safety when venturing out, THIS EVENT IS DESIGNED WITH YOU IN MIND!! Join us for a Birding event on Saturday, October 19, at 9:00 at Riverview Park. We have expert birders from the Piedmont Virginia Bird Club to help even the most inexperienced. We’ll provide binoculars and help you learn how to use them. We will move at a speed designed to accommodate those who have to move at their own pace. Riverview Park is flat enough for wheelchairs and has handicapped parking and a handicapped porta potty.
