As a participant, you will have the opportunity to explore a range of traditional techniques and methods, allowing you to unleash your creativity and let go of any apprehension or self-doubt. Throughout the workshop, Amy will cover various aspects, including composition ideas, sketching and grounding, creating depth with tone, and working with both muted and saturated colors. Participants will also learn about impasto mark making, a technique that adds texture and dimension to your artwork. To ensure a successful workshop experience, please bring the following materials: a canvas or canvas board sized 16 x 12 inches, art paper for oil painting (size A3), a tear-off palette, Liquin, low-odor white spirit, an empty jam jar with a lid, an old rag for paint wiping, a palette knife or old credit card, 2 large brushes (DIY store purchase is acceptable), a fan brush, and a selection of hogs hair brushes for oil painting.
