The Queensland Ekka Carnival is the largest traditional folk festival in Queensland. Every August, the ten-day Ekka brings rural life to the city, and people can experience the authentic and unique Australian rural style in the downtown of Brisbane, Queensland. From the brute force competition in the logging arena to the close contact with animals at the livestock show, Ekka is only 1.5 kilometers away from the city center. It gathers the best horses, cattle and other animals in Queensland, and shows the colorful life of Queensland with a variety of classic exhibitions.
The Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) is the largest and most popular annual event in Queensland, attracting an average of 400,000 people.
