Suspended Landscapes - Artist Talk with Sarah Hood Salomon is an engaging event that you won't want to miss. In response to this imminent destruction, Sarah disrupts the actual surface of her photographs by detaching the ink from the paper using sandpaper and mat knives. The harvested ink filings are then suspended in resin to create captivating sculptural forms. Additionally, she pureés, slices, and shreds the photographs to shape them into three-dimensional images. The result is a series of original images that are unrecognizable and cannot be reconstructed, mirroring the altered landscapes we face in our world. Cupid's Chase 5K Glen Rock, the highly anticipated annual event organized by Community Options, Inc., is back for its 16th year. This inclusive and memorable race welcomes participants of all abilities, including runners, walkers, rollers (baby strollers and wheelchairs), and sponsors, to join in raising funds that make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. The event will take place on February 10, 2024, at the Glen Rock Municipal Pool in Glen Rock, NJ. The race will start promptly at 10:00 am, with check-in beginning at 8:00 am. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot and take advantage of the early bird discount. By registering on or before January 1, 2024, participants will also guarantee their exclusive Cupid’s Chase shirt. This certified 5K race features chipped timing, ensuring accurate results that will be posted immediately after the race. Additionally, all participants will receive a Cupid's Chase drawstring bag, and upon completion of the race, an official Cupid's Chase finisher medal. Trophy awards will be presented to the top three overall finishers for both male and female participants. In addition, age group medals will be awarded to the first-place finisher in each category. Age groups range from 12 and under to 70 and over, ensuring a fair competition for all. It's important to note that this event is pet-friendly, but all pets must be kept on leashes at all times.
