The Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment is hosting the 2024 OCU Dance Advantage - Summer Intensive from July 7-13, 2024 at Oklahoma City University. This week-long program is designed for high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in the entertainment industry. Students will have the opportunity to experience firsthand what it's like to be a Dance and Entertainment major at the renowned Ann Lacy School. The intensive will include classes and rehearsals that focus on various dance techniques used in the entertainment industry, including Broadway and commercial dance. Taught by nationally recognized faculty, these classes emphasize the qualities that make dancers employable in the industry, such as versatility, injury prevention, dance health, and professional preparation. Participants will also have the chance to showcase their skills at the Edith Kinney Gaylord Center on July 13, 2024, where parents and families are invited to attend. Rising seniors can take advantage of a special admission and scholarship audition on July 14, 2024. Tuition for the program includes all classes, rehearsals, meals, and housing, with different payment options available. Additional add-ons, such as early move-in and audition registration, can be purchased separately.
