Join the Miniature Sewn Dolls fundraiser workshop at Arc Centre, Hat Works in Stockport. This exciting event is led by volunteer artist and experienced art teacher, Helen Back. Due to popular demand following a sellout session, we are thrilled to offer another creative fundraiser thanks to the generosity of Helen. Whether you want to create a bespoke doll for yourself or as a gift, this relaxed session is perfect for you. Basic sewing skills are all that's required as Helen guides you through the process of cutting out from small templates and making simple clothes with fabric. You'll also learn how to wind embroidery thread around the figures, stitch faces, and create hair. Personalize your doll with a variety of colors, patterns, and charming details. These dolls, known as worry dolls or whisper dolls, have a tradition in many parts of South America. Legend has it that you can tell your worries to these dolls and place them under your pillow before bed. The event offers a range of ticket prices as part of our affordable art series, and all funds support our charitable work.
