The Soda Pop Slalom, part of the 111th Winter Carnival organized by Christy Sports, is a thrilling race suitable for children of all ages. The event will take place at the Howelsen Hill Ski Area in Steamboat Springs, CO on February 9, 2024.
There will be two separate races based on age groups. The Little Kid Race, designed for children aged 10 and under, will run from 10 am to 1 pm. The Big Kid Race, open to participants aged 11 to 14, will take place from 11 am to 1 pm. To ensure a fair competition, participants can only sign up for one time slot and one race per child. Limited spots are available, so early registration is highly recommended.
The Soda Pop Slalom promises an exciting experience for all participants. The race will feature a dedicated starter and announcer, adding to the overall ambiance. Additionally, every participant will be rewarded with a refreshing soda pop. Both skiers and snowboarders are welcome to participate.
The racecourses are designed to cater to different age groups. The little kids will have their race on the magic carpet, while the big kids will tackle the Face. The race is non-timed, emphasizing fun and friendly competition among friends and family.
Please note that registration for the event requires the completion of two forms: a registration form and a waiver. It's important to sign the SSWSC waiver to participate. Athletes currently enrolled in a SSWSC winter program are exempt from filling out the waiver.

The Christy Sports Soda Pop Slalom is a fantastic event suited for children of all ages. It offers two race categories: the Little Kid Race for children aged 10 and under, and the Big Kid Race for those aged 11-14. Please note that participants can only sign up for one time slot. As there are limited spots available, we kindly ask that you choose one race per child. While your child can race on both courses, you may only register them for one course.
The Soda Pop Slalom is a fun-filled race that includes a starter, an announcer, and a special soda pop reward for all participants. It is open to both skiers and snowboarders. The little kids' race course will be set up on the magic carpet, running from 10am to 1pm. On the other hand, the big kids' race will be held on the Face from 11am to 1pm. The race is designed to be non-timed and provides an opportunity for kids of all ages to compete against their friends and family.
To participate in the event, we kindly ask that you sign the SSWSC waiver. Additionally, please ensure that you fill out both a registration form and a waiver. It's important to note that the waiver does not serve as your event registration, and vice versa. If your child is currently enrolled in a SSWSC winter program, there is no need to fill out a waiver.

The Winter Carnival, scheduled for February 10th and 11th, offers a wide array of exciting events that showcase the region's western heritage.
To participate in the Street Events, attendees must first purchase a Winter Carnival Button for $15. This button not only grants entry to all the events but also shows support for the Winter Carnival and the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. However, please note that children are only allowed to compete in one event throughout the weekend, so it is crucial to select only one event ticket per child during registration to avoid disqualification from all events.
The Street Events include thrilling horse competitions such as Ski Joring, Street Slalom, Donkey Jump, and Shovel Race. These events offer participants of different age groups the chance to showcase their skills and agility while being pulled by horses down the streets of Steamboat Springs. From skiing slalom courses to jumping off ramps and racing on shovels, these events promise excitement and entertainment for all.
The registration process for the Street Events is straightforward. For horse events, including Ski Joring, Street Slalom, Donkey Jump, and Shovel Race, registration opens on February 2nd, 2024, at 10:00 am MST. Non-horse events allow for registration on the day of the event. All participants must check-in at 7th and Lincoln, just outside 720 Fusion.

The 111th Winter Carnival Street Events, sponsored by Yampa Valley Bank, will take place in Steamboat Springs from February 10th to February 11th, 2024. This annual celebration embraces the spirit of winter and allows neighbors to come together while experiencing a piece of Ski Town USA® history and tradition. The events will be held in downtown Steamboat Springs, specifically on Lincoln Avenue between 7th and 9th Streets.
Registration for the Horse Events, including Ski Joring, Street Slalom, Donkey Jump, and Shovel Race, will open on Friday, February 2nd, 2024, at 10:00 am (MST). For Non-Horse Events, registration can be done on the day of the event itself. Check-in for all events will take place at 7th and Lincoln, outside 720 Fusion.
To participate in any of the events, a Winter Carnival Button is required for entry and spectating. You can purchase a Winter Carnival Button for $15.00 to show your support for the Winter Carnival and the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.

The Horse Street Events include Ski Joring, where contestants race down the street on skis while being pulled by a horse; Street Slalom, where contestants ski through a series of cones while being pulled by a horse; Donkey Jump, where contestants attempt to jump off a 2-foot ramp while being pulled on skis by a horse; and Shovel Race, where contestants race in a shovel while being pulled by a horse.

Join the SheJumps Junior Ski Patrol at Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, CO on February 11th. This one-day camp is designed for intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders between the ages of 8 and 14. All women, girls, transgender individuals, cisgender individuals, and non-binary people are welcome to participate. During the camp, participants will have the opportunity to work closely with the local ski patrol community to learn about mountain safety and first aid. The camp is structured as a full-day experience, with participants being split into teams based on their skill level and rotating through various stations. Topics covered include first aid, avalanche control, snow science, weather stations, avalanche rescue techniques, and more. Lunch is not provided, so participants should bring their own or bring money to purchase lunch. The day will conclude with certificates and check-out at 3:30pm. Participants are required to bring their own ski or snowboard equipment, wear warm layers, and have a valid ski pass. Scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance. To prioritize the health of our community, please do not attend if you are experiencing any cold-like symptoms.

Join the lululemon Steamboat team and the GH community for a thrilling skin up Steamboat resort. This event is suitable for all skill levels, making it the perfect opportunity to explore the mountain and enjoy the great outdoors.
The event will kick off bright and early at 7AM, meeting in the lobby of GH Steamboat. Before the lifts open, participants will embark on a skin tour, taking in the breathtaking scenery and getting their adrenaline pumping. For those new to ski touring, don't worry! While some knowledge of backcountry gear is required, beginners are welcome to join in on the fun.
After the tour, head back to Gravity Haus to warm up and unwind. Sip on some hot Unravel coffee by the fire and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Lululemon beanies will be provided as a special gift for participants.
Make sure to come prepared with your own backcountry gear setup or reserve gear from Haus Quiver. Dress in layers to stay comfortable in the changing weather conditions and don't forget essentials like a headlamp and water.
