Our Biggest Rollerskating event of the Year! 🌞🌞 Lace up those skates because we're thrilled to announce Roller Dance Australia's second Sun Skate Rollerskating Festival! Sun Skate 2023 was a day of connection and fun on wheels, and this year it's no different! We will offer a full day of roller skating vibes. The event will feature family friendly events (kids class and family disco) and an outdoor skating workshop, adults beginner and roller dance class, followed by an adult's disco. Whether you're a beginner taking your first steps or an experienced skater looking to show off your moves, Sun Skate 2024 welcomes skaters of all abilities. The day will start off with an introduction to outdoor skating workshop with guest host and a kids beginner class and our family fun disco hosted by Susie Q. After a short lunch break for all of us, we will have a special adults beginner's class conducted by Sofi Cherchyk from The Roller Skating Academy. An intermediate roller dance class will follow the beginner's class. For this class, skaters are expected to have intermediate skills in roller dance. We will be led in a special choreography by Sofi Cherchyk from The Roller Skating Academy. At 5pm, the venue turns info our Adult's Retro Roller Disco were we will celebrate the energy that roller skating brings into our lives! Skate hire No skates? No problem. We'll have heaps of skates available for hire thanks to Impala Skates, with sizes that cater to most ages, juniors to adults. Eating options There is an onsite drinks bar for all non alcoholic drinks and limited snack options. Being located so close to Southbank gives you plenty of food options. West End, South Brisbane and Southbank restaurants and cafes are all only a short walk away. Safety gear VENTspace is an indoor, concrete space. We recommend and encourage all skaters wear safety gear. All skating is at your own risk. A signed waiver is required prior to skating.
