The event will highlight individuals and organisations current research, approaches to practice, and shared enquiries that are active or have taken place recently from across the UK, and that support and embed the inclusion of *disabled people participating in dance activity. The morning sessions (10:30am - 1:00pm: In-person FABRIC, Nottingham OR Zoom, online) will consist of presentations followed by an afternoon of discussion (1:00pm - 4:00pm: In-person FABRIC, Nottingham ONLY) . The event is for anyone who works in dance and who may benefit from learning about different methodologies and approaches to inclusion in dance and or national initiatives that may inform their work or practice. From representing Iran in the Paralympics in 2014 to seeking refuge in the UK in 2017 and graduating from the Royal Drawing School in 2019, Barrangi has since established his name as an internationally renowned artist. During this intimate and informal event, visitors will receive a tour of the show by Barrangi and the exhibition curator, Melanie Kidd. Saturday Group ride from Nottingham to Attenborough Nature Reserve | Nottingham Railway Station

Join us for a leisurely 13 mile, traffic -free women's bike ride starting from Nottingham train station, along quiet cycle routes taking in the canal towards Attenborough, where we can stop for coffee, and coming back along the river. We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back! One of us will lead, and another will stay at the back so we stick together as a group. This is the perfect chance to build confidence on a bike and meet other women. MEETING POINT: Nottingham Train Station, opposite Tesco on the pedestrian walkway entrance to the station. Here is a link to google maps and see the photo below. We'll be meeting from 9.45am ready to ride promptly at 10am. See picture below for route and click here for the full route on Komoot. You'll be in safe hands. We are qualified ride leaders and mechanics who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling. You won't need anything fancy; just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling!
