Join us for the exciting and educational SheJumps Wild Skills Junior Ski Patrol day camp at Bogus Basin Recreation Area in Boise, ID on February 25, 2024. This full-day camp is designed for girls ages 8-14 who are intermediate to expert skiers or snowboarders. Participants will have the opportunity to learn vital mountain safety and first aid skills while working alongside the experienced women of Bogus Basin Ski Patrol.
The day will begin with registration from 9:00am to 9:30am at the 3rd Floor Simplot Lodge. Participants will be assigned to teams based on their skiing ability and will be joined by two ski patrollers, two SheJumps volunteers, and eight participants with similar skills. Throughout the day, teams will rotate through various stations covering topics such as first aid, mountain safety, toboggan use, snowmobile safety, gear caches, weather, and avalanche basics & prevention.
Lunch will be provided, but specific dietary restrictions may not be accommodated. Participants can bring their own food if necessary. The day will wrap up at 4:00pm with certificates and a parent pick-up on the Simplot Patio.
The cost to attend is $45 per participant, and scholarships are available for those in need. Please contact Jess Briggs at jbriggs@shejumps.org for more information.
