The Bingley Arts Centre, also known as Bingley Little Theatre, hosts a monthly social group for writers called the Bingley Writers Group. This inclusive group welcomes writers of all levels of experience to come together and support each other in their writing journeys. Led by Corinne Pollard, a disabled writer with a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, the group provides a safe and constructive environment for writers to share their work, receive feedback, and learn more about the craft of writing.
The Monthly Bingley Writers Event takes place at the Bingley Arts Centre, located on Main Street in Bingley. The event is usually held on Wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm, providing writers with a dedicated time to focus on their writing. Whether you're an aspiring author or simply enjoy writing as a hobby, the group can offer guidance and support to help you progress.
During the event, there will be writing exercises designed to stimulate your imagination and get your creative juices flowing. It's the perfect opportunity to put pen to paper, even if you haven't written in a while. The group primarily focuses on creative writing, including poetry, prose, micro fiction, flash fiction, and short stories. All genres are welcome, but please be mindful of sensitive content and provide appropriate warnings if necessary.
Refreshments such as tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided, and donations towards the event are greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Corinne Pollard via email at corinnepollard181@gmail.com. Join the Monthly Bingley Writers Event and connect with fellow writers, improve your writing skills, and gain valuable feedback on your work.
