This online workshop is specifically designed for Coaches, Children's Officers, and Designated Liaison Persons (DLP), who are required to complete this course. Participants will gain essential knowledge on how to implement best practices for safeguarding children involved in sports activities. The adoption and implementation of the Sport Ireland Code by governing bodies, clubs, local sports partnerships, and community/voluntary groups have greatly contributed to the protection of young people and leaders since 2000. Creating positive and enjoyable experiences for young individuals, regardless of their ability, gender, social class, or race, is crucial to ensuring their long-term engagement in sports and physical activities.
