Each day "TAMWORTH EXPRESS: TCMF TOUR" have a set program of locations and performances for the whole group to attend and then people break off the group activities for a while if they are booked in to watch a ticketed concert. In the past this flexibility has worked well.
There is plenty of free entertainment all around the town at pubs and venues, you do not need to attend any additional ticketed event. There is always someone great to see. Often the big stars will do a 'pop' up FREE performance on the Toyota Stand or FanZone and "TAMWORTH EXPRESS: TCMF TOUR" will always make time in the itinerary to attend these free performances.
There is also the cavalcade down the main street on Saturday and several popular landmarks to visit like the Hands of Fame and the giant Golden Guitar, Museum.
For those that like Silo Art, there is a short hike and lookout to see and photograph Tamworths Silo art Installation.

Following a tradition we started in 2018, the BVRT Users Association is organising the eighth BVRT Australia Day Bike Ride from Fernvale to Esk (44 km) to celebrate Australia Day on Sunday 26 January 2025, sponsored by Somerset Regional Council. Unfortunately, due to a 235% increase in our insurance costs, we can no longer this event for free, but we are only charging what it cost us for insurance. Children are free. This very scenic, family friendly, supported ride will start at the Fernvale Futures Visitors Centre in Fernvale and finish at Esk Station in Esk. A subsidised shuttle service back to Fernvale from Esk will be available for you and your bike, commencing at 9.00 a.m @ $40 per rider and bike ($15 for children under 16 yrs of age). Our traditional gourmet Australia Day BBQ brekkie roll catered by The Picnic Society will be available at Esk Station @ $12 (kids under 12 eat for free) for everyone finishing the ride. Depending on numbers, there may be a bit of a wait for the shuttle back, so please be patient. Start time will be 6.00 am in Fernvale to catch the cool of the morning. Registration is essential. Some sections of the rail trail are quite rough. Bike must be suitable for off-road cycling (eg. MTB/Gravel bike/Hybrid/ e-MTB). Please bring a basic tool kit including puncture repair kit and spare inner tube (unless tubeless) and a basic first aid kit, including a snake bite bandage and know how to use it (plenty of YouTube videos). Disclaimer: Participation in this event is entirely at your own risk. We recommend membership of an organisation such as Bicycle Queensland that includes public liability and accident insurance or having your own accident and public liability insurance. Mountain biking and trail riding can be dangerous activities - registration and participation in this event will require you to acknowledge that you have read and fully accept our terms and conditions and that the organisers will not be held liable for any accident you may have, regardless of the circumstances. When registering at the start, you will be required to provide a signed waiver that will be emailed to you prior to the event. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone this ride in the event of adverse weather conditions, bush fires, or other such factors that could affect the safety of participants. A full refund will be offered.
