Move beyond the traditional nature photos by learning and practicing how to create stunning impressions and abstracts. We will explore a dozen techniques that will take you from nice photographs to exceptional and creative images. We will use both in-camera and post-processing techniques. We will photograph both at the Arboretum and beyond. This workshop is for intermediate and advanced photographers. Students should bring their DSLR camera, laptop with choice of photo editing software, and a blank thumb drive to review your work with the instructor. This workshop meets for two sessions: September 14 and 21 from 9 am - 3:30 pm. A professional outdoor photographer for 15 years, Rick Daley has taught both private students (novice to professional) and at art institutions, notably the Sedona Art Center where he has been on the faculty for 10 years. His work has appeared in magazines and books from Alaska Air to the Encyclopedia of Zoos. His exhibits have included the International Color Exhibit, the Washington, D.C.
