Did you know that over the past decade alone the Mexican American College Education Fund (MACE) has raised and awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to over 800 local Tarrant County students for their college education? MACE, a 501c (3) non-profit, was founded by a group of Hispanic community leaders in 1969, who recognized the lack of role models and mentors for Hispanic students seeking a college education. MACE Board members have been raising funds for scholarships to assist these students with the high cost of tuition since 1972.
