Craft Like a Samurai - Father’s Day Ikebana Taster Workshop | Canons House & Grounds
Celebration
Join us for a one-hour creative experience inspired by the centuries-old Japanese art of Ikebana, once practiced by Samurai Warriors as a meditative discipline.
This Father’s Day, try something completely unexpected, hands-on, and creatively grounding. This Ikebana taster workshop celebrates the captivating and mindful tradition of Japanese floral design. Originally practiced by Samurai Warriors as a form of discipline and preparation for battle.
Ikebana isn’t just about pretty bouquets, it is a refined, 3D art form that balances strength and simplicity, structure and space. You’ll be creating your own sculptural arrangement using seasonal flowers, natural materials in a classic Japanese style vase and kenzan (which you’ll take home). It’s relaxing, surprising, and deeply satisfying - no floral experience necessary.
This session is an ideal gift for fathers, father figures with or without sons & daughters (ages 12+ welcome!) or anyone wanting to do something meaningful and creative together. Relax and enjoy an hour of calm, connection, laughter, and a bit of mindful mischief.
** 12-14 year olds go FREE** IF WORKING ON ONE ARRANGEMENT WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN - ONLY NEED TO BOOK ONE TICKET.
PLEASE NOTIFY US IF YOU ARE BRINGING A CHILD WHEN BOOKING.
