The Good Shepherd Housing Foundation of Woodbridge, Virginia is hosting its inaugural "Make Home Possible" Golf Tournament fundraising event at the Old Hickory Golf Club LLC on October 18, 2024. This event aims to support the Foundation's mission of providing affordable housing opportunities for low to limited-income individuals, single parents, and families in Prince William County, particularly those facing mental health challenges. With nearly 35 years of service to the community, the Foundation manages 3 Shared Living Homes, 14 townhomes, and 10 apartments where eligible residents pay no more than 30% of their income for rent and receive utility assistance. To sustain these properties, ongoing maintenance and upgrades are crucial, as government grants alone are insufficient. Individual donor support, including participation as a player or sponsor in this event, directly contributes to the Foundation's efforts in ensuring long-term housing stability and affordability for vulnerable members of the community. Ticket prices range from $5 to $2,500.
