Join the Createschool team for a fun and engaging hands-on workshop. Flip Books are one of the simplest, oldest and best-loved ways to create an animated film. We will teach you how to bring your stick man to life, bounce that dot around the page or launch that rocket—the possibilities are simply endless. You will learn some great tips and techniques on the art of flip bookmaking in this taster workshop No previous drawing experience is required, as all materials are supplied. Party Kidz bring their professional cast of actors and eclectic array of colourful puppet characters to Tallaght Library for the Red Line Book Festival Family Fun Day! Sarah Naylor, a professional special effects makeup artist, will lead an exciting and hands-on workshop designed for teenagers. This workshop is part of the Red Line Book Festival and will focus on the art of special effects makeup, giving students a unique opportunity to learn and create their own impressive prosthetic and makeup looks. Special Guest: Kai, a local teenager and budding special effects artist, will join the workshop to demonstrate advanced prosthetic makeup techniques in the morning session. Kai will also be available to answer questions and share insights with participants. Two separate workshops will take place at Tallaght Library on Saturday 19th October as part of the Red Line Book Festival Family Fun Day. The workshops are suitable for 13-16 year olds.
